You and Will were on your daily wall after school when you hear a high pitched sad sounding whine. You stopped and looked over at Will, he has the same worried experience as you. You kept walking and stumbled upon a brown box. The box looked worn, as you went to step towards the box Will grabbed your arm being too worried to let you go. You gave him a reassuring look as he slowly let the firm grasp on your arm go.
You peered in the box only to see a puppy, the puppy looked starved, your heart broke at the sight. Will stepped next to you and peered in the box . You heard him gasp as he slowly picked up the puppy holding it to his warm chest.
At first the puppy whined and squirmed but soon fell asleep as of being exposed to immense comfort. You and Will started to walk back to the Byers household, as you stepped in the house it was warm and the smell of soup wafted through the house.
As Joyce said hello you walked into the kitchen with the puppy and Joyce turned around with confusion written all over her face.She grabbed Chester's old dog bed from when he was a puppy out of the closet as well as his old puppy blanket. Will set the puppy down and went to go grab something for the puppy to eat.
We fed the puppy and I decided I wanted to spend the night at Will's to help with the puppy. It was around 12pm and we decided to give the puppy a bath so we could all sleep in Will's bed. We washed the squirming, butterscotch colored pup and dried him once he was clean.
I set the puppy in Will's bed and got in next to Will and we all slept. We had school and we hat gotten up at 6:30 seeing as we leave at 7:20. Will and I were discussing puppy names as the puppy happily munched on the food we had given him. I decided to let Will decide......that might've been a mistake, but honestly the name is growing on me, he decided he wanted to name the pup......Butter. Cream.Byers
