"Im sorry, but your daughter has suffered from major brain damage." I peeked from behind the door.

"What are you saying?" My mother cried.

"Mommy, don't cry." I came out and tried comforting her, but it was like she couldn't hear me.

"She has amnesia." The doctor spoke firmly.

"So she don't remember who she is? Or who we are?" My father asked as my mother fell apart.

"Not exactly, there has been many cases that have sadly ended that way. Amanda has temporary amnesia. Meaning she could get her memory back today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or even in the next couple years. Also she only has part of her memory gone, basically anything in the last 2-3 years." Informed the doctor.

"She can get her memory back?" Questioned my mother as she collected herself.

"It looks so." Nodded the doctor.

"Amnesia?" I questioned as I woke up. I sat up and looked at my alarm clock.

2:00am it read. I signed before throwing my blanket off me and swinging my legs to the side of the bed.

I stood up and slipped on my slippers. I yawned before throwing my hair into a lose bun and going downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a cup. I filled the glass with some water before turning around.

I leaned against the counter and sipped on my water. Once I finished, I grabbed the sponge on the sink and washed my glass.

Once it was clean, I gently sat it in the restrainer. A loud thud made me jump and turn around.

I listened closely for a few seconds before grabbed a kitchen knife and walking towards the noise.

I turned the corner and turned on the living room light. I gasped and sat the knife down.

"Sebastian, what are you going?" I asked him as he was on the floor. It looked like he fell.

All he did was groan in response. I rolled my eyes as I bent down to help him.

After a few struggles, I finally got him on the couch. I looked down on his face, that I can now see perfectly.

His eye was black, his lip was busted. He reeked of alcohol and his eyes, well eye was bloodshot.

"What happened to you?" I said barely above a whisper as I leaned down to be level with him.

"You." He responded as he winced his pain. He rolled slightly to face me.

"I talked shit." He finally answered my question.

"Amanda, your the little girl." He words slurred.

"Little girl?" I asked.

"This little girl, she's everywhere around me. It's like she's in my head."

"What drugs are you on?" I stood up. "More like, how many?"

"Nothing, I mean I'm a little drunk." That infamous smirk appeared but disappeared just as fast. "I haven't taken anything."

I rolled my eyes but decided to stay and listen. I motioned for him to scoot over. I sat down next to him.

"Go on." I responded and gave him my full attention. He looked at me and continued on.

"I see her in my dreams, that's when it started. And now I see everywhere I go, it's almost like it's telling me something. But I don't know if I want to find out what..." he trailed off as he stared into my eyes.

"But why do you say it's me." I asked and leaned back with a suspicious look.

"Because I can remember that little girl from anywhere." He looked away.

"But you can't -"

"Amanda I know it's you." He nearly screamed in my face. "Why can't you remember?" He signed.

"I think I know who you're talking about." I decided to explain to him what I've been seeing.

"You." He exaggerated.

"I think I have amnesia."

"Amnesia? Isn't that where you lose memory?"

"Yes. I had this dream where my parents were talking to a doctor about me saying I had 'temporary amnesia'. I don't know what that means but maybe there's a possibility I am that little girl." I explain slowly. He nodded.

"Amanda, we need to know what happened to you."

"But why do you think the little girl is me?" I asked, curiously.

He grabbed my hand and pulled my arm where it was extended out. He pointed to a birthmark I had.

"This was the same birthmark the little girl had." Something caught my eye. Blonde hair.

It was behind Sebastian. He waved his fingers in front of my face but i hushed him and shoved them away from me.

"Behind you." I mouthed. He slowly turned and his reaction was the same as mine.

"Come out. No one will hurt you." I called. I heard a giggle. A giggle that sounded really familiar.

"Amanda." The little girl called. I nearly broke down in tears when I realized it was me calling to myself.

She came out from where she was standing. She was dripping wet, she had frost bite and she was a purple blueish color.

"What happened to you?" Sebastian asked.

"He hurt me." Her little voice made out.

"Who?"

"Mr. Valmont. He hurt Mrs Valmont and took me. He did bad things to me." I looked at Sebastian.

He turned to look at me. After a few seconds we looked back to where she was standing. She was gone.

"You father hurt me?" I asked. Sebastian didn't say a word and grabbed me. He gave me the biggest hug.

I was shocked at first but hugged back. After a few minutes, I'm not sure what came over me but I started balling my eyes out.

I was scared. It felt like my life was a whole lie. I don't know what happened to me. Or what happened to Sebastian and my friendship.

But here he is now. Comforting me. It was nice. Almost like I got my best friend back. But sadly it wasn't that simple.

He pulled away and stared at me. I looked into his blue eyes. I didn't notice how close we was until I felt my eyes flutter shut and lips meet with mine.

It was like they fit together like a puzzle piece. It felt better than amazing. It was indescribable.

I felt myself he lifted and sat on his lap. I was straddling him and no one dared to break the kiss.

I felt a thousand different emotions fun through my body, but one stood out.

Love.
