Chapter 4

Becca's POV
I finally found my way home my phone kept ringing, it was Seth trying to get a hold of me. I can't believe he's after me, well at least my species but I don't even think there are more of me. That would make sense considering that I always feel alone, but when I'm with Seth, I feel like I finally belong, but he would turn me in if I told him what I actually am. It's probably best if I stay away from him

Seth's POV
I hung up the phone after a minute of ringing, that tells me she doesn't want to talk. I don't even know what I did or said! I threw my phone in frustration, luckily it landed on the couch. My dog, Fufu, comes closer to me. He turned his head to the side. "She didn't answer my phone calls, I'm worried I screwed this relationship up like I've done before!" Yes I talk to my dog so what? I feel like he can understand what I'm saying and he's my best friend. He ran away and came back with my car keys in his mouth. "Oh my god, your a genius Fufu! I'll explain everything at her house! Wanna come?" He jumps up and down and we head to the car.

Becca's POV
I decided to stay in today so that I don't run into Seth again, so while I wasted my time away, I learned how to tye-dye shirts, how to make homemade popcorn and how to make really comfortable sweat pants. All these things were so easy to do. I put on my tye-dye shirt on, put my new sweat pants on, and got the homemade popcorn in a bowl, and watched The Fault In Our Stars.

I got to the point where Gus planned his own funeral and by that time I was balling my eyes out when I heard a door bell. I heard a dog parked and smelt sweet blood, it was Seth and some dog that I don't recognized. As I walked towards the door, I tried drying my eyes so they weren't blood red from crying. I opened the door and sure enough Seth was there with a dog. I opened the door and looked at the dog and the dog started wimping and laid down to cover his ears 'Good dog' I thought. I looked back at Seth who was looking at the mutt and he looked at me. "Can I ell you with something?" I asked ready to shut the door. "Actually, love, you can help me, may I come in?" He asked. I looked at the dog, "I don't suppose he wants to come in too?" I said and the dog got back up and started jumping, luckily I have just the treat for him. "His name is Fufu and he's my dog. I guess if it's fine with you he can come in." Seth said. I nodded my head and they both walked through the door. I went to the kitchen and Fufu followed me. I gave him a slice of cheese. I looked at Seth to make sure it was ok, he nodded. "So what do you want?" I asked trying to be serious. "I want to know what I did wrong." My heart was beating faster than ever. I knew he was talking about the dinner. I paused for a moment, "Nothing, you did nothing, it's me that's the problem." I looked at the floor, I really don't want to tell him what I am but I feel some kind of click between him and I, I don't want to screw this up. He chuckles and looks away, "You know Becca, everyone says that, I want this to work. I feel something happening between us and I know we just met but I feel different with you then any other girl. You can tell me anything." I looked at him and he looked at me and we locked eyes for what felt like minutes but was only seconds. "I-I'm a-a." I paused, I was told never tell anyone my secret. "He touched my shoulders lightly. "It's ok, you're a what?" He said in the sweetest voice. "I'm a... Vampire." I looked at him with worried eyes. "Oh, ok, I'm so sorry but I don't believe you." He said. Because he didn't believe me I showed him that I could change my eye color without the help of my hands. And at that moment he knew I wasn't lying. We sat on the couch to talk and I brought more popcorn out.
"So that's why I ran away, I thought you would turn me in." I said.
"I would never do that to you. They told me the plans of when people like me find someone or something like you, and trust me, iron man could not live through something like that." At that moment, we both leaned in and right when we were about to kiss, Seth's phone rang. We sat straight up, "I have to take this I'm sorry." He walks away to answer the phone I can't hear anything Seth was saying. To keep me company, Fufu came up on the couch and put his head on my lap. I started to pet him when Seth came back. "I have to go, I'll be back around 9:30 ish. You can keep Fufu if you want. If I have extra time I will come back sooner." He said as he grabbed his coat and keys. I asked, "Do you have to go, I mean wouldn't it be more fun to stay here?" He chuckled, "Yes of course love, but I have to do something quick." He walked back over to me and forced a kiss on my lips. I enjoyed every minute of that kiss. He pulled away and smiled, after that he stepped out of the door and walked to his car.
