Prologue - May the Seas of Stars bless your journey

Greetings.

I am known under the alias of... 'Marianna', or 'Trench'.

Funny, isn't it? My aliases combine to create a similar name to the 'Mariana Trench', the deepest place on Earth.

Ignore that, that was a bad joke, I'm here to give a blessing of sorts, observer of the pages.

As you know now, I travel the stars and galaxies of THEIR domain, and this is a story I picked up along the way, a pretty... lengthy one.

No matter, but, since I see where you come from, traveller, here is a warning from the story I picked up.

Let's see, ah yes, here it is, I'll speak a bit boldly for this, seeing that this is from the actual story, wouldn't want to be scolded by the creator of this story, would I?

"Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood.

If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth, and try to lead a normal life.

Being a half-blood is dangerous. It's scary. Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful, nasty ways.

If you're a normal kid, reading this because you think it's fiction, great. Read on. I envy you for being able to believe that none of this ever happened.

But if you recognize yourself in these pages—if you feel something stirring inside—stop reading immediately. You might be one of us. And once you know that, it's only a matter of time before they sense it too, and they'll come for you.

Don't say I didn't warn you."

Hm, I'll fill you a bit in with what's happening here, half-blood in their terms is also known as 'Demigod', a half god half mortal hybrid of sorts, a close acquaintance, also one of your species, was one.

Who was this person? I will never know, I do not recall anyone saying that in my lifetime as a traveller here.

But, as you delve into the memories of this story here, I hope that you will figure out what happened here, I am forever unclear, my sight murky from tears that can no longer fall.

So, I bless you, I bless you to never lose your mind, I bless you to remember everything that this story entails, and I hope that you will spread it out, and I hope that the flames of this story never be doused in waters, forgotten to the rest of the world.
