Kanao plopped herself deeper into her seat as she sighs, tired and bored. Kanae, whose her sister, giggled. "Why look so bummed out, Kanao?" she asks.

"Tsuyuri-san, can I talk to you for a minute?" Kanao turned to look at her sensei from the door. She bowed and nodded.

Her sensei is busy on fixing some papers, which she didn't mind much. "Since you're the one who... almost won all the quiz bee of this school, and to different regions. The school committee has decided for you to be the representative to join the quiz bee that'll held in United States, international contest I say." she explained to her.

"But this is only if you're willing to, I don't wanna put the pressure on you as my student." she added while showing her a paper from the table, Kanao looks down at it, and read the few contents.

"Well... It's not only for the contest. You can also study there until you graduate, I chose you over the other students since most of them are more of looks than brain here." Kanao was quite surprised at the offer.

"So, what do you say..?"

"Huh? We don't have that." After she heard his answer, she lowers down her head, disappointment filling up her mind... 'Aoi has, but why doesn't their class have... Is it because we're in different years?' she thought.

She sighs, accepting the fate. Kanao sooner faced him again, and tell him the reason to why does she have to travel all the way to U.S, Tanjirou on the other hand, was surprised as soon as she finished explaining.

"So... You're going to be the representative of our school?" Tanjirou asked in surprised, Kanao only nodded, a little hesitant. He noticed this, and asked right away.

"Aaaaand, you're forcing yourself again, aren't you?"

"I'm not... I like to challenge myself from these contests." she said in a slight determined voice. "But... I'll probably be away for months. My big sisters are coming with me." she said, smiling sadly at him.

Tanjirou returned the smile softly. He raised his hand up to pat her head, "I have nothing else to do, but support you. I wish you a good luck then, Tsuyuri." Kanao pouted while looking up at him.

Kanao sighs, trying to get the guilt away from her, at least Aoi is with her to come, and her sisters, but what's the connect... It's not only because he's not with her.

It's because she haven't told him that she'll study there until college.

She sighed heavily as the guilt took over her more, asking herself on how will she tell him, she had assume that he'll be very sad from the news...

Her hands raised up in the level of her eyes to look at her phone again. She turned it on, and scroll through her contacts, reading the last same message from her senior.

That made her smile again, she thought that the emoji was cute, of course she is still a girl, but she doesn't want to show much of that side to him.

Kanae, who noticed the different smile on her face, started to think of teasing her just to cheer her up. "Is that a text from your senior?" she asked in a motherly tone.
