"Do you know? - and - broke up for only a month?"

"Oh really?"

"That's bad.."

"I know right! Imagine courting the girl for years then ending the relationship for a month."

"I heard that the boy already cheated."

"Sigh.. Boys these days."

Kanao overheard the conversation, normally she won't care about it, but it got over her head, keeping her thoughts with the questions on why can't boys be faithful to one girl, how itchy do their hearts can be. She sighs.

"Hey Kanaooooo!" Her senior threw his arm around her shoulder, walking to where she is going too. Kanao knew it's already him, he's the only one who has the courage to touch her shoulders.

"Senpai, why do boys cheat?"

"Huh? Why are you asking me that, I'm not a cheater." When he said that, she looked at him dead serious in the eye. Tanjirou sighs, "Fine I'll answer that as a male, and your very handsome senpai." he confidently said, which Kanao ignored.

He sighs, and put his arms on top of his head, as he starts to talk, "It's either because the girl didn't meet their expectations, y'know disappointment, you get me?"

"Why would they even date the girl that doesn't meet their expectations.."

"No, what I mean was, some boys, except me (He has to point that out) has standards, but they'll just expect that perfect standards to grow out in a girl right after they were born." he paused to sigh, "That's why they're eager to look for someone beautiful, or has a good-shaped body, and if that didn't satisfy them enough, then they'll find a new one."

"Oh... Have you ever been to that? That expectations thingy?" Kanao curiously asked.

"I think so? I never know anyway." He shrugged. Kanao's eyes looked down.. Now that she thinks of it, Tanjirou is already courting her... One that she only allowed..

"So you're expecting something in me?" she asks, her head finally lifting up.

"Hm?" Their eyes met for a second, only to break when Tanjirou closed his eyes, "Do you wanna be my girlfriend to know?" he teased, playfully smirking at her. She ignored the question, blushing and pouting, which made him laugh.

"I'm not expecting anything to you. All I know is Kanao is a kind and a lovely person, and it's enough for me. Not to mention, an adorable Tsundere." he answered while stroking her head.

"Then... Why do you like me?" she asked him again, in curiosity.

He pursed his lips trying to think why, "I......... don't know either."

"Eh? Why?"

"I don't knoooow."

"What do you mean you don't know?"

"I don't know means I don't know. Maybe I like you for who you are, I just like you, or I like you because you're pretty." he said. Kanao pursed her lips recalling all what he said in her mind. She clicked her tongue, "Okay." They continued walking in the hallway.

"Mmmm.... What if... I like someone else, and it's not you. Would that hurt you?" Kanao popped another question while looking at him.

He stopped walking, and lower down his head. Kanao furrows her brows in confusion, but she sees that he's gripping his chest tight, that started to make her worry.

"S-Senior, is there a problem?" She touched his shoulder to make him look up to her, it was the same stubborn him. Kanao hears him laughing, and finally he looked up to her.
