The rise of the dark queen

The Truth (Part I.)

Auretta sits under her mother's favorite apple tree in a bench while she deep in her thoughts, suddenly she realizes that someone sits next to her. As she looks up there is Prince Andrew.
-Okey, number one rule, don't disturb me when I'm here- she breaks the silence
-Why, what is this place?
- This was my beloved mom's three, she spent a lot of time here, when I'm feeling alone, I came here to feel her presence. She nurtured this three since she moved here
- You mean when she became a queen?
- No, when she became Queen Elizabeth's servant. – she answers it thoughtfully
-Do you miss her?
- Very much!
- You said to me that noting is like it seems in this story, why don't you tell me the truth? – replays Andrew as he sees how sad Auretta is.
- Why do you care about it anyways, at the end of the story you still going to believe to my sister
- You wouldn't know it, why don't you try me? – Andrew encourages Auretta
- My father, the king married Snow White's mother at a young age. She was the part of an esteemed noble family. She was beautiful but rotten and spoiled. My father fell for her immediately and get married to her. After my grandfather died my father was the next on the throne. Not long after the coronation they welcomed a baby girl, my sister. The queen hired my mother because she needed more help as she become a queen, she didn't want to take care of her subjects. Of course, my mother was happy, she had to take care of my grandmother who was very sick. As my sister got older she became as spoiled as her mother. She taught her how other people is not important and not worth us much as her. Isabell, my caregiver was Snow's too, but she couldn't do anything because of the queen. This went like this for years, but God doesn't give reassurance for those who are vain and rotten. The queen become very sick and soon she died when my sister was just seven. The king didn't wanted her daughter grew up without mother, so he offered to my mother an engagement. I don't know why he chose my mother, probably because she knew how a queen must act, and of course  she was beautiful and kind too. My mother didn't want to marry the king, she wasn't in love with him and of course there was the age gap too. She changed her mind because her mother was already dead at this time, she had no one and she could lose her job, so she said yes. As she become the queen and mother of Snow White, never forgot where she came from, and she was annoyed of how Snow always acted with normal people, so she decided to make the effort change her to become a perfect queen one day. But Snow wasn't thrilled by this so she added the name evil to her. Evil queen..that's where her name came from. She told everyone that my mother has evil magic and she uses it on her to punish, and that's how she become the queen too, she enchanted the king. Years went by my mother become pregnant with me, Snow was angry. She was jealous of me from the beginning, and for what? My father went to an expedition when my mother was 8-month pregnant, and he never came back. I never get the chance to meet with him. After the king's death my mother ruled until my sister old enough to take the throne. Years went by I saw many times how Snow always was arguing with my mother but unfortunately, I rarely see my mother because she had to rule the kingdom. I barely remember how she looked like. I always was with Isabell. Everything stared change when Snow had just a few months until she become 18 and take the throne. My mother tried everything to prepare her, but she was unsuccessful. I was just four at the time, but I still remember for everything very well.

Auretta's memory take us back to the past

-Ah I can't believe I have to do this again; my clothes will become dirty. I hate my stepmother. – says angrily Snow White – You must learn what is like to be poor– mocking Grimhilde. – Ridiculous. – says this as she picks up a bucket and goes to the well to get some water. She must clean stairs today. Queen Grimhilde gives her every week one job. It's not much but she hates it. As she looks into the well, she gets an idea. She starts to sing:

„Make a wish into the well
That's all you have to do
And if you hear it echoing
Your wish will soon come true

I'm wishing
For the one
I love To find me
Today"

A prince who gallops with his horse near to the castle hears this and falls for that voice. He climbs over the fence to see who sings this and he sees a beautiful princess. He goes there to speak with her.
-Bravo, what a beautiful song from a beautiful princess, but something is not right. Why are you doing this? Don't you have servant for this job?
- Yes, I have, but my evil stepmother made me do it. – says as she turns around and sees a very good-looking prince. – she backs up a little bit than she asks: - who are you?
- I'm Prince James, and you are?
- Princess Snow White
-Well, Princess Snow White, it's nice to meet you- says the prince as he bows in front of her and kisses her hand. Snow likes it so she continues the talking.
-What are you doing here?
- I came to see the queen, my father sent a message to her about some business staff, you see I forced too to do boring things but yours's worst. Tell me, why do you let her to do this to you? Don't you the princess who going to be the next queen?
- Yes, I must wait for three months until then. I have no choice.
-Then, ask help from your subjects. I'm sure they help the real queen and not that one who got all of this trough marriage. – Snow White's mind opens up: this prince says something interesting. If she shows the kingdom how miserable she is, and  how evil is Grimhilde, then they will help her get rid of the queen sooner. As Snow wants to answer she hears a rough sound from behind her
- How many times I told you don't speak with strangers, and do your weekly job - Isabell demands her to continue. Normally Snow answers something like „he's not stranger anymore, isn't he? Now that I got to know him" but now she just looks sadly and goes back to work. Isabell watches her surprised and gives her a last comment – Oh what happened? Does she starts to get manners now? – then she turns the direction of the prince. – Prince James, isn't it?
- Yes
- Come with me, the queen is waiting for you.

As the prince finished with the queen, on his way out he stops for a minute next to Snow White and says to her carefully, because Isabell is behind him:
-I can't wait your coronation, hope everything will be just fine – than goes to his horse and says goodbye
-Oh, you bet – answers Snow cunningly than turns to Isabell – I finished my job, may I speak with Grimhilde?
- All right but please don't anger her up, she has enough problems.
- Will you be that protective with me too after I become the queen? – asks her and before Isabell could answer her, she marches into the castle and finds Grimhilde. She watches her for a moment. So beautiful as she sits in her throne in her beige majestic dress. Her black hair is pinned to a bun and her crown highlights her characteristic face. She seems to be worried. Snow feels angriness but continues her plan.
- Hello mother! I finished my tasks you made me do. -Very well, you free now. Do what ever you want.
- Actually, I have a question for you.
- Yes, honey?
- I feel like you don't want me become queen. You treat me like a servant. – as she says this Grimhilde looks up and turns her eyes to her – I had to wash stairs today, I don't see you do things like that.
- Snow! I really don't have the nerve now to do this speak again with you. Just go to your room!
-No mother! I mean it! You want to take my throne! I know it! – she continues. Grimhilde stands up angrily
-For your information: I cleaned all the time after your mother! I explained you plenty of times that I ask for you this to teach you how important is to know how your subjects feel. I want you to be a good queen. How can you accuse me... I just made the preparations for your coronation for the next month but I can see you learned nothing, you never listen my advices, always break the rules, like today... why you have to speak with our enemy? That boy's father brought your dad into his own death.
- That little snitch! – says Snow about Isabell
- I cancel your coronation until you learn your lessons! I'm very disappointed in you! You won't be queen until I say so! – answers Grimhilde angrily – now go to your room!
- But..
-Now! – yells Grimhilde
Snow White runs into her suite than starts to yell:
-I can't believe this! Everyone is idiot here! – sees a candle than picks up and throws the direction of a mirror. The mirror breaks. She looks in the vanished mirror and thinks. Suddenly she has the perfect idea. Snow picks up an old dress and starts split it than wears it.
- Time to show my subjects that they beloved princess how miserable is. – says it with a big smile – So you won't let me be the queen?.. We will see about that- says it with laugh
