Reincarnation Of The Second Male Lead

Prologue

Warning mentions of gore, violence, murder, SA(sexual assault), child abuse, and suicide throughout the fanfic maybe suggestive content in later chapters as well?? (there is a birth scene later in the prologue)

It was an average night for Devan he was washing the dishes while his cousin was reading her new favorite webtoon who made me a princess

"Can you stop being lazy and help with the damn chores!?" Devan yelled at his younger cousin who was rolling her eyes 

"Hold on! I'm still not finished with chapter 43!" Eliza was scrolling with evident ecstasy on her face while her older cousin let out a frustrated sigh and just kept washing the dishes until it was time for the both of them to sleep

Eliza was still reading until it was 11 PM Devan was annoyed with his cousin and throw a pillow at her. They were in bunk beds 

"OW WHAT WAS THAT FOR" Unluckily the throw of the pillow caused her phone to fall and splat on her face 

"Go to sleep. I don't want to wake up to see you look like a zombie" 

"tsk"

Eliza put her phone under her pillow and began to close her eyes

"Wouldn't it be nice to reincarnate as the main character to another world?" Eliza was imagining she was Athanasia from who made me a princess. Charming love interests, A family who would do anything to keep her safe, and was the beloved princess of one of the biggest empires on the continent 

"You're just saying that to skip school and be a lazy shit all day aren't you" Devan knew his cousin since they were young. She would want to lay around all day He couldn't blame her though

"I'm just saying!" Eliza angrily yelled at Devan but he already put on his Earpods Eliza just laid down on her  bed and went to deep sleep 

Devan woke up in a strange place with shallow water the background was dark blue that faded to a lighter one he was confused he didn't know if this was a lucid dream or not, everything was indeed a calm sight to behold he walked around but the water around him made it hard to walk around after a frustrating walk around the water he decided to just lay in the water and wait till he wakes up. 

But after what seemed like hours he still couldn't wake up he began to slightly panic then a random thought came to his mind 

'Wouldn't it be nice to reincarnate as the main character to another world?'

'Why of all things that came to my mind'  He still laid there but he grew impatient he again decided to walk around in the water and try to find a way out he was walking to what seemed like an endless void. This is the part where he tried to piece everything his cousin said with the manhwas she's reading the main character would either get hit by a truck or died in some way whether it be suicide or murder.

If he excluded the part where the main character dies he figured out that he was or not going to be reincarnated. The half of him was chill with it while the other half was panicking he couldn't decide which half he would side on because both of them were reasonable 

He was still lying there in boredom. He felt he was in there for 4 days yet he still has his sanity then he suddenly fell into a black void 

'Just when I was relaxing' At this point, the only worry he had was his younger cousin burning the apartment building down. He was in the void for what seemed 5 minutes and he heard what sounded like a woman screaming in pain which echoed in the halls of wherever He was in 

"My Lady, push! I can already see the head!" It seemed like everyone in that room was panicking

'Jesus, have you people never helped someone give birth? some Midwives you are' 

"Just a bit more Lady Eirian the child is almost out!" 

"Hahh...aaAAGHHH" The woman was panting loudly after a bit of silence crying noises can be heard 

'Is that me crying??'

"Congratulations Lady Eirian It's a healthy baby boy!" One of the midwives said the woman or should I say Eirian was tired but was still happy to see me but she was still weak so the midwives cut the umbilical cord and cleaned the baby. Devan was exhausted as well so he gently closed his eyes and went for a little nap

When Devan woke up he saw a man with white hair talking to one of the midwives

"Will the duchess be alright?"

"Well it is normal for the mother to be weak after childbirth but her condition is worse than others so we have to monitor her for a while" After that he couldn't hear anything else. The man then walked into the room and Devan finally saw him

Duke Alpheus. The man who introduced his niece to the emperor and announced her to be the emperor's daughter but that was in lovely princess. In who made me princes she was never announced to be his daughter because of the first princess Athanasia.

How does he know this? It was because his cousin rambled that in her sleep that's why he wears earpods 

'So I wasn't just reincarnated. I reincarnated to my cousin's favorite webtoon as the second male lead, Just great...'

Honestly, I hoped the prologue to be longer but this is the best I could do for now. Hoped you enjoyed the prologue tho!!
