2: Back from a Voyage

Your Perspective

"(Y/N)!" I heard a familiar voice call out for me, turning just in time to have Beidou crash into me. I could barely say anything as I'm pulled in for a bone-crushing hug as well as having my face dotted with kisses. I could help but laugh at her gesture, hugging her back once she set me down on the ground, returning her kisses with some of my own. We finally separated after a while with Beidou happily proclaiming how much she missed me, saying how not having me around just isn't the same. 

"I'm glad to be back in Liyue with my cute partner and to be back home. You know what that means, right?" Beidou says linking her arm with mine. Rolling my eyes, I jokingly asked if we'd be spending a quiet evening together at our home, to which she laughs boisterously. 

"OF COURSE NOT! That's in 3 days, you'll have to wait, buddy. No, today we party!" She says triumphantly. Sighing and shaking my head, I ask how much she'll be drinking today and she shrugs. No biggie, there's not much of a difference honestly. Except for her being more affectionate and slightly more possessive than usual. 

"Well, in the meantime, if the party isn't starting yet can we spend some time together at home? If you don't mind that is." I say holding out a hand, her looking at it in consideration. She smiles after a while and takes my hand in hers.

"So where did you go hm?"

"You remember the Kazuha kid?"

"Oh yeah, of course, I do! I'd bring him some meals whilst he stayed with your fleet." I said cheerily. It'd been a while since I saw him though. Beidou nods, telling me she was rather surprised I remembered to which I told her I have a nigh perfect memory after all. 

"~snicker~ Nerd. Anyways, I brought him back to his homeland, Inazuma." 

"Oh really? Inazuma reopened?"

"Well, It reopened after a certain traveler helped changed the Archon's ideals."

"That traveler is something after all. After the feat, Lumine pulled off during the fight against Osial and then his wife too . . . " I said, lost in thought. I mentioned that they'd been a real great help during Liyue's time of crisis, stating that if it weren't for them a lot could have gone wrong. Beidou flicked me with her free hand saying that I was monumental to the efforts too.

"After all, it was you who kept Liyue safe from the waves with your mastery of the waters to remember? And during the battle with Beisht, it was you who held back one of the tidal waves long enough for the traveler and Shenhe to act. And your aid in deducting the fatui's plans too. I thought I'd told you to quit underselling yourself, babe. You're incredibly talented too." She says as we reach the door to our house. I felt a smile creep up my face as I embarrassedly thanked her for her words. Beidou nods, stepping inside after I opened the door for her. I enter after her and she breathes a sigh of relief before glancing back me and speaking.

"Now that we're home, how about some relaxing in bed together? I could use a bit of unwinding after all now that I think of it."
