Chapter 3

It was time for dinner; my mom and dad had left for the village a few hours ago. Our parents would be gone for a few good hours, so we really were on our own for dinner.

I shifted into my full wolf form and turned my head to call out to my brother. "Let's go?"

He came towards me, also in his wolf form, and yipped at me as an agreement. I started walking towards the forest with him following behind me.

I kept my pace the same as my brother's. I was considered as an adult, so I was bigger and he would most likely not be able to keep up if I wanted to go full speed.

After some time, we were deep into the woods. I looked down to gaze at (B/n) and spoke, "What do you want to hunt?"

He turned to look at me, "What about a boar? It would probably be enough for both of us." I smiled the best I could in my wolf form and bumped his head with my snout as a sign that I was agreeing.

We walked quietly as we searched for our prey. A few minutes later, we found a boar. I carefully moved so we were downwind and the boar could not scent us. Then I crouched down and motioned for (B/n) to do the same.

"You will jump at it as a surprise aattack. Remember to to deal out a fatal strike so it doesn't suffer too much. Then, I will come and finish it." I whispered. My little brother nodded and started moving to another position, taking care so that he was still downwind.

A few moments later, he ran out of the bushes and jumped at the boar, opening his mouth and biting down in a vital part of its body. The boar shrieked and tried to shake him off.

That was when I jumped and lunged at the prey, biting down at its throat. I felt the taste of iron fill my mouth as I kept biting down. When it's movements slowed down, I snapped it's neck and it stopped moving completely, now gone from this world.

I removed my mouth from its neck and looked at my brother who howled in happiness at having taken down our prey.

My ears twitched and exclaimed for him to quiet down and I crouched and looked at the direction of the noise I heard.

My brother realized something was wrong and immediately shut his mouth. Meanwhile, I pulled my lips back and growled at whatever was hiding in the bushes.

Finally, a wolf walked out of the bushes and both my and my brother's eyes widened. The wolf's coat was dark blue with grey and white. His eyes were brown. I didn't want to admit it but... He was beautiful. But he may still be a threat to my little brother.

My brother backed up until he was behind me. I shot him a glance then my eyes narrowed as my protective instincts were awakened. I growled at the wolf in front of us.

The wolf just stared at us with narrowed eyes before his form slowly changed from a wolf to a human male. "Who are you? I have never seen you around here." He asked.

I froze, completely not expecting that the wolf would be the same as us; a werewolf.

I shook my head and hesitated a bit before shifting into my (Y/H) human form. My brother looked at me then also shifted.

Now it was the male's turn to be astonished. As he observed me, I opened my mouth to speak, "Im (Y/n) and this is (B/n). We just moved here yesterday. Who are you?"

The dark blue haired male shook his head and replied, "My name is Ame."

'Ame? What a beautiful name...' I thought.
