As most of the men and Florence were asleep, it was a shock when they heard glass shattering in the peace of the night. Flo jumped up in bed, as the rain still poured down outside, while the men congregated at the window to see what was going on, Webster came and sat on her bed putting his head in his hands as they heard a german start to shout angrily in the street, Chuck turned to the two translators on the bed "Either of you know what he's saying?", the both shook their heads still dazed with sleep to have to remember foreign words. Lieb on the other hand looked quite offended by Chuck leaving him out, "Here Chuck, you do know I'm a translator too don't ya?" Lieb said pushing him slightly as everyone started to move away from the window, "Hey it's hard to remember everyone's secret skills, gimmie a break" Chuck yawned as he fell back onto his bed.
"What was the commotion?" Flo yawned as she lay back down and pulled the covers up to her chin, the blankets weren't thick but compared to what she'd slept in before this was a 5-star luxury, Lieb shook his head "Nothing for you to be concerned about Fizz, a drunken soldier" he said ruffling her hair before he too lay down and went back to sleep.

The next morning, Flo was busy examining some German posters that were anti-semitic and racist, she was shaking her head in disgust and trying to get it off the wall when Captain Speirs appeared at her side, with a slight smile "Allow me" he said smoothly and tugged the poster off the wall in one pull, she smiled at him, she looked almost care-free today, with her helmet tucked under her arm and the braids neat for once, the sun had given her a nice tan and her freckles were starting to show, Speirs couldn't help but smile in her presence, "Thank you sir, any news this fine morning" she asked matching his smile as they began to wander down the road together, "300,000 krauts surrendered, we're moving out in an hour if that's what you call news" he said, as usual being a man of very few words. Flo nodded, "Well I suppose that's something, did you see what was on that poster sir?", Speirs stopped and looked at her "I did and I'm sorry to say it's not the first or last we'll see of them" he said seriously, and then gave her a quick pat on the shoulder and started to walk off but stopped "I wonder what secrets will unfold as we get further into the "fatherland" " he then started to briskly walk away with a sneer on his face that Flo never wanted to see again.
Sighing Flo made her way to Gene and started helping him load up the truck, everyone was busying about getting ready to leave when suddenly Nix shouted something about his dog making Flo jump and making Gene laugh as she watched Nix with a thoughtful expression, she really was going to have to see if he needed any extra support. But her thoughts became interrupted as the whistle blew and she blew a kiss to Gene while making her way to the 2nd truck, accepting the hand Perconte extended and settling herself for another bumpy journey.
"You hear we're going to the alps?" Luz asked her as she watched the scenery roll by, 'it really was a beautiful country' she thought as they passed green countryside, "Hmm?" she replied, not really paying attention, "Yeah, we're gonna fight the SS and try to prevent a gorilla war" Garcia pitched in as Luz kept throwing his ball up and down, while Flo turned fully to the conversation at hand, "Umm the alps....that's where Hitler's holiday home is isn't it?" she looked to Webster for confirmation, knowing he would know for definite, Web looked up from his book and nodded, not wanting to get involved. Luz on the other hand thought it was amazing news and started telling everyone they were going on holiday, Flo rolled her eyes.
Luz then decided to turn his attention to Janovic, and Flo had no problem letting him talk to someone else as she closed her eyes and to be restful for few hours.
