I wake up cold, to the sound of metal scraping across metal. I cover my ears with my hands. The noise was unbearable. I felt like screaming. Wait where am I? Why can't I remember anything? I remember books, but the faces and tittles were blurred, lines form hundreds of songs, but not the tittles or the person who made it. "Verra" That's my name Verra. Short for Verraianna (ver aye anna, jus how you pronounce her name). I soon realize, that I'm in what looks to be a box. How its moving, I have no idea. I feel like crying... Verra I know you're in there somewhere, I scream, a voice in my head. LEAVE ME ALONE! I scream at them in my mind, I feel an odd presence, like there's someone literally inside my head. Suddenly the box stops abruptly. And these giant metal rusted doors open. The screeching sound of metal against concrete. I cover my ears. "Whoa" A cute guy with an accent says and he looks completely stunned. "What?" "C'MON NEWT WHO'S THE NEW GREENIE?" I hear shouts coming form all directions. "It's... It's a... It's a girl" He says and he looks confused. Shouts erupt from everyone. "IS SHE PRETTY?" "I CALL DIBS!" "NO WAY! THAT'S NOT FAIR SHES MINE!" All these boys screaming, practically itching to get a look at me... I scream. Everyone stops talking. The guy with that cute accent held his hand out for me to get up. I ignore his hand and roll my eyes. I walk to the back of the box and run toward the entrance and jump on a crate and my foot touches the ground and I haul myself up. "I don't need your help" I say suddenly realizing I myself have an accent. The same one as the red head. "Verraianna" I say and everybody looks confused. "My name it's Verraianna, but I think I prefer Verra" I say and they nod still completely stunned. "Uh I'm Newt" He says and I nod. It didn't take me long to realize how attractive he was. I mentally slap myself for already thinking this guy was cute, and I just met him. I feel like crying. I don't know what it was but my eyes started to water. "Verra, listen to me we'-" "NO GO AWAY! I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE, OR WHAT YOU'RE DOING INSIDE MY HEAD BUT JUST GO AWAY" I found myself on the ground. People surrounding me asking if I'm okay. I ignore them. I tune them all out.

"Verra, we need you to try, we know you're having trouble focusing, but you still need to try. You have a special power, that not many others do. Please just try one last time" "I can't.... I just can't... I don't want to kill anybody!" "Verraianna! YOU HAVE TO TRY!" he screamed at me "Okay" I said barely above a whisper and he had a smile on his face "GAURDS!" He yelled and they dragged me back to a white room. "Now kill him" The man had said but I shrank away. He walked up to me and slapped me, right in the face. Tears filled my eyes. They slowly fell down my cheeks. "DO IT NOW!" His scream boomed through the room. I concentrated on him and he fell to the ground. Twitching and kicking his legs and thrashing his arms everywhere. The guards looked at me shocked "If you don't let me go, you'll be next!" I scream tears falling free down my face now. I didn't try to stop them. "LOCK HER UP!" One of them screamed and I stared at him and he fell to the ground doing the same as the other man. I'm crying, but I don't know why, he deserved what I did to him. "I'M A MONSTER! I'M A FREAKING MONSTER!" I scream to no one in particular.

"VERRA!" I see Newt and Thomas standing on either side of me holding their arms. I look confused "You kinda started screaming, and thrashing, we think you were having a vision because you started bloody screaming 'I'm a monster!!' 'I killed him!' And there were tears coming out of your eyes..." Newt was explaining to me. "Oh..." Was all I said. I stand up and Newt and Thomas back up... I stand but start to fall and Newt catches me. He makes sure I'm standing perfectly fine before he lets go. "I'm hungry" I say and Tom and Newt nod and they walk me over to the kitchen. "Frypan can we have some sandwiches?" Newt asks and Frypan nods and smiles at me and I smile back. We finished eating and we were walking to go set up my bed when suddenly I got another flashback

"Verraianna!" Someone screamed and they had tears in their eyes as the vans doors closed. I head tears falling down my cheeks. I turn away from the van doors and look as someone hits me. I scream in pain as the spot on cheek where they hit throbbed. "You are very special to us Verra. You can do quite a lot of damage can't you" The man talking smirked.
