To Hate

Hate is heavy word,
But we tossed it around too much,
So much that it means less now.
"I hate you" becomes a phrase used by many that don't mean what the phrase meant.

Some say that hate is the opposite of love,
But is it truly so?
To love is to care a lot,
The opposite should be to not care at all.
If we think about it,
To hate is to care a lot as well.
How can the two be so similar and different at the same time?
Perhaps to hate is to love,
To love is to hate.
