Sasuke really liked this girl in his class.
In the midst of all the other girls, she stood out. And that wasn't just because of her unique hair color. She was different.
Most girls would only fangirl over him. They only cared about his looks and skills as a shinobi. Some even because of his status, the clan heir.
But that pink-haired girl was different.
Most girls would turn bright red, when he even glanced at them.
Most girls would follow him around whenever they could, bothering him even when he told them to go somewhere else. He couldn't even enjoy his meal in peace. Most girls didn't know anything about him, Uchiha Sasuke. They only knew the "cool" prodigy boy in their class.
They acted like they know him. Could understand him, when in reality, they didn't know a single thing.None of them knew, that Sasuke didn't like Medamayaki that much. They all just assumed it was his favorite food because he'd always eat it. None of them actually asked him. None of them ever thought, that maybe it was just the only dish he could cook.
None of them knew that Onigiri had always been his favorite food.::
"Sasuke-kun! Do you want to eat lunch with me?"
"Sasuke-kun! I brought Medamayaki for you!"
"Sasuke-kun, What do you think of my long hair?"
"Sasuke-kun! Let's eat together!"They all swarmed around him while he walked around the school ground, trying to find somewhere to go where the fangirls wouldn't reach him. Usually, lunch time would be over before this could happen. Usually.
Sasuke turned his head to the side as he heard a voice calling his name. She was waving at him in an ally between two buildings. She made handsigns for him to come over. He walked towards the ally. Of course the girls followed him.
"Where are you going, Sasuke-kun?"
"Is it too hot for you here?"
"I could blow wind at you!"When he entered the narrow ally, she wasn't there anymore. Just when he was wondering where she went, a hand grabbed his wrist from above. He look up to see her kneeling on the roof of a smaller building. She was stretching out her other arm for him to take.
"Come on, Take my hand!"And he did without hesitation.
"HEY! What do you think you're doing to MY Sasuke-kun?!"
"He was eating with US not YOU! Leave hin alone!"
"Sasuke-kun! Slap her hand!"
"Yeah, do that!"The girl changed into a half-sitting position, seemingly using all her weight to pull him up. As soon as his hand touched the roof, he pushed himself up. When he finally got up, the girl stumbled a few steps back, before turning around walking a few steps.
"Follow me. I'll take you somewhere quieter" She told him.Again, he didn't hesitate.
They stopped walking and sat down at the back of the main building on a small roof in the shadows.
"No one comes here. You're safe from them here."
She packed out her lunch box. When noticing that Sasuke wasn't moving, she turned to him confused."Oh, are you uncomfortable to eat infront of a girl?" She suddenly asked, looking quilty to the side. "I shouldn't have dragged you here. I'm sorry. I can go somewhere else."
The next thing Sasuke did suprised even himself. He grabbed her upper arm tightly.
"N- No! I'm not uncomfortable! I'm completely comfortable with you and I'm grateful that you got me out of that. Don't go!" She flinched a bit, probably because this was the first time she has seen him acting like that.
"Then why aren't you eating?"
"That's..." He looked to the side, his cheeks turning light pink. "I didn't- I didn't bring my lunch..."Her movement stopped for a few seconds before she grinned at him, slightly chuckling.
"You shoulda said that from the start. Here, I can give you some of mine."She took out something packed into plastic and gave it to him.
"It's okay, I have another one so you don't have to feel sorry" She said, taking out another one. "It's Onigiri. I made it.""Thank you..." Sasuke muttered, taking a bite off.
"No problem"It was quiet for a while. Sasuke spoke up, trying to ease the uncomfortable silence.
"Uh... I see you got a new haircut?"
"Yeah. It's a bit too short for my taste. You're the first person to notice." She smiled at him.
That moment, a single thought crossed Sasuke's mind.
Beautiful. He looked at the girl confused when her grin grew even wider.
"Falling for me already, eh?"

None of them ever thought that maybe Sasuke liked strong and independent women.
None of them knew that Sasuke preferred short hair over long hair.None of them wanted to know him, Uchiha Sasuke.
But Haruno Sakura was different.
