"Help! Hey, please help me!" she said as if she was being changed.
Maybe she was being chased. The only thing I asked myself after that was what from?
She finally caught up to us. She was young, younger then Sarah, I think. She has long brown hair that naturally straight. Her face was soft, and her cheeks were filled with warm pink. She covered in sweat and dirt. Her clothes looked as if she's been wearing them forever, they were torn and ragged. She spoke softly and there was a tone of fear in her voice.
"Whats wrong?" Sarah said fast. She was trying to go near her but I gripped her arm.
"The gun shots! They are men trying to find us!" she sounded as if we had the guns and we were shooting here.
"Everything will be okay. We can help you." I said still grasping onto Sarah's arm.
The girl noticed what I said and calmed down. She was still on the edge but she seemed to trust what I had said. Sarah caught that really quick.
"What's your name" Sarah said softly.
"My name is-" she stopped. I think she was trying to study us. Trying to find a reason to trust us. At the same time, I was trying to study her. We waited a long time before her soft voice came to a start again.
"My name is Arabella. Arabella Reyes to be exact." she said. she sounded unsteady as if we were threatening her at that moment.
"Hello Arabella, are you alone? Where are your parents?" Sarah said. I didn't understand why she had to say that. The girl is traumatized by what just happened. My new concern was where her parents actually were. I had so many questions that needed answers but I was the only person to answer those questions. Find the answers. Arabella didn't seem to mind about the question tho.
"No parents here. Just us." she said but this time she sounded a bit more sorrow.
"What do you mean no parents?" Sarah added.
"I mean what I just said. This is the Land Of The Lost." Arabella said mumbled. She mumbled loud enough me and Sarah heard her. At that point, we were confused, conflicted, and also scared.
"What are you even talking about. Are you trying to pull some sick joke kid? You know you're messed up for that" Sarah said roughly. I was shocked by what she said but I also agreed. All I could do what stand and think.
Nothing made since. Nothing. Everything I thought I knew was entirely like a joke to me now. "Maybe this is a dream and I'll wake up in bed soon" I thought to myself. Thing was I wasn't too sure I would.
"This ain't no joke. No jokes here. You people are Lost Children" Arabella said slightly.
"Yes, we are lost and we need to get home. Tell us where we are, then you get back going play lala land. we won't disturb you afterwards" Sarah said. She sounded scared and I could hear gravel in her voice.
"You don't get it. You are the Lost Children. Kids come here to escape reality. You see, we don't want to go home" Arabella said in a laughing matter.
After that sentence, me and sarah looked at each other for a really hard long time. Life didn't make sense. Nothing did. Where were we? Why were we here? All I could do was just think.
