And this case is living proof. As I (outfit 14) walk in that morning I'm greeted by Jones as he asks me if I'm ready for our next case. Of course I am Jones I'm always ready for a new case, that's why I'm here. I say putting my blonde wig on and sticking in the blue contacts. You never seize to amaze me partner. Ya'll there's coffee for you in the break room. Let's get started. Jones come tell me about this case.
The victim used to be very pretty when she was alive but clearly her killer didn't want her to stay pretty in her death. You already saw her? Why wasn't I called in earlier? I question. Never mind that I decide, where was it called in and who called it in? We need to hurry who knows what the rain could've washed away in the rain tonight. When was she killed? It's been raining all day we wanted you to get here safely.
But we need to head out to Joe's diner she was killed in the ally behind there. Hand me the address and I'll plug it in. Farlie here girl. I called for her. Let's get going. In we go. After you. When we get there.... You were right Jones this is not a pretty sight, just another reason why beauty only goes just skin deep. Let's send someone off with the body to go get the autopsy from Nathan. In the meantime maybe this hand bag will have something in that will tell us who the girl was.
Hey Winters we actually have a witness that says she saw the whole thing. Name? Mrs. Lydia Holly. She's waiting for us to talk to her. Ok, you and my brother go talk to her I'll go back to the lab and get the autopsy from Nathan and make sure to keep you guys in the loop on what I figure out. Got it. Sounds like a plan little sister. We've got this taken care of. I know you do. Farlie come. I called for her, as I teleported back to HQ.
I went straight to the lab first. What a lovely day we're having ay Nathan? Only to you Ms. Eppes. So, what's going on with this body bro? As you can see this was a very brutal killing I've counted 10 blows, whoever wanted her dead didn't just want her dead they wanted her obliterated. Yeah? No kidding any clues left behind? Like hair perhaps. Not human hair but I did find cat hair on her shirt, the killer must've given her a parting hug before killing her meaning the killer has a contact to cats.
Good to know thanks. See ya around. Good day Ms. Winters. I wave him a goodbye on my way out. While I was there Jones and Don were talking to Lydia who was actually much enthusiastic about being a witness, that she said she didn't get a good look at their face but that they were thin and pale probably weighing no more than 120lbs. Well gee mam thanks for the help and being.... So enthusiastic. Don cut him off.
Don: Hey kid whatcha got?
Me: Nothing out of the ordinary but it's much too obvious that this person wanted her dead, and that they have a connection to cats.
Don: How's the search for the I.D. going?
Me: Her name is Patricia Mills.
Jones: I know her she's a dancer at the Blue Flamingo the club Tony owns she used to go by Trixie Velvet. Why does it not surprise me that his name would come up again as a suspect for another murder?! Let's not go talk to him again just yet, I wanna talk to the bouncer first I believe his name is Biff Wellington.
Me: Great go talk to him guys, but don't search a scene without calling me in first.
Don: Trust me we won't. Talk to you later.
Me: Of course keep me posted.
Jones: Of course partner over and out.
So, first they went to go talk to Biff who was furious to hear that Trixie was dead, because she had been like a little sister to him, Don knew what that was like, and Biff said that he hoped we better find out who killed her before he did. They asked him about Tony and if he thought that be would've killed her but Biff said the only thing Tony ever did was take her out to dinner a couple of times but that he'd never hurt her.
After talking with Biff they went to go grill Tony again, and he claimed that he'd never hurt an innocent woman and that no one turns him down that he was furious that the Viper gang was going around messing everything up in HIS district while we just watch. Jones got mad about that as Tony bid them farewell. *Sigh* let's call Farrah and get her down here before we go take a look at the dance floor. Good plan boss.
Don: Ok little sister we're ready for you, meet us at Tony's we're taking a look at the dance floor.
Me: Ok, be right there.
And of course we were Farlie and I. Let's scope the place out. So, what did you guys learn from our suspects. Biff thinks of the victim as a little sister and would never hurt her and says that Tony took her out to dinner a couple of times but that she turned him down, and Tony said he'd never hurt an innocent women especially if she's bringing him in money.
Ok, you're right like usual, come let's check our the scene. Once we did we found ripped up pieces of paper with one piece reading the victim's name on it. Ok, well let's head back to home base then. We'll put it together read it find the clues then figure out what to do from there. Once we got back, I took the tape and put it back together. On it was asking Trixie to come behind the diner after her shift, which was suspicious because that's where she was murdered, so we discovered the note came from the killer.
However, after trying to dust for clues it had no fingerprints on it, but I was able to get a sample of what was on it and then I took it to Grace for her to give me the analysis. Once she was done.... So, Grace whatcha got for me? Hey sweetie. Morning Terry. So, kid what I figured out and what we liked the smell of was that your killer has expensive taste. What do you mean? I questioned. You're killer wears perfume a very expensive perfume called Eau d'Homme.
Cool awesome. Speaking of you appear to be wearing your Dark Kiss perfume a lot lately. Good observance, IDK I guess I just feel like it lately. Well it's a lovely smell. Thank you if you like it they've got it at bath and bodyworks, it's my favorite scent next to the aromatherapy scents. Good to know. Well you know if you need anything else we'll be right here. Thanks guys see ya later.
Well? It's a kind of expensive perfume that I'd have a hard time pronouncing but they wrote it down for me. Here you go. Aha, thank you. Something else smells really good. Like what? It's not the perfume sample from out killer. But it does smell like perfume. Oh, Jones I know what that scent is, it's a scent that I know all too well, it's Farrah's Dark Kiss perfume. Yeah, yeah come on guys let's figure out what to do next.
Well, IDK about you Farrah, but this case sounds like a weird script for a T.V. show, we have the dead stripper who worked for the mafia boss, and we've got a killer who likes cats and expensive perfume. Jones recaps. Yeah, but I keep thinking about that letter you found it had no sender or any personal info but the part I'm stuck on is the fact that Nathan said that her killer hugged her before killing her which meant that our victim trusted them.
And if that's so there's no way the only thing she received was a letter, I remember seeing some crates back where we found her maybe we should go back and check those out. Don reminded us. Yeah, good idea whatever gets us to our next step. Well there are the crates good thing they're still here, now let's go through them. Ooh finding objects I've got some kind inner GPS when it comes to lost things. You sure do kid.
Check out this hammer. Careful with that, it's looks really heavy. And not only that it's covered in blood so it could be our murder weapon. While we're here Jones and I will go talk to Holly again and make sure we talk to Tony again and question him. Good, good. You guys do that I'll look this over for prints and if nothing else I'll take a sample of the blood and send it to the girls to tell me what's what.
You do that. After going back to HQ since the rain went and washed away the fingerprints there were none to check but after collecting the blood sample....Well, well, well look what we've got here. Well look at you girl looks like you've got your murder weapon. Where are the guys? Talking with suspects. Oh look at that, that's them now. Hey guys! I say putting them on speaker.
Don: So, what did you find out kiddo?
Me: The bloodwork is a match we've got our murder weapon.
Jones: That's great partner.
Me: So, what did you guys find out?
Jones: Tony owns a cat and also wears the type of perfume we're after, but otherwise he gave us his usual attitude.
Don: Other than that we learned that our witness also owns a cat but doesn't remember anything else other than the fact that our victim died with a necklace in her hand.
Me: That's strange cause we didn't find on when we found her body.
Don: Read my mind kid, which means we gotta be on the look out for the necklace and hope it can help lead us to our killer.
Me: Sounds like a plan anything else?
Jones: We're gonna go back to the club and talk to Biff again and see if we can get him to tell us anything and keep you in the loop of what we find out, but we won't call you down until we go to the next spot.
Me: You got it.
So, there I sat in my office space or in the breakroom trying to figure out what I should do until that point as I looked back over the evidence that we had so far. At the front of the club after talking with Biff he was upset that he never noticed the note that had he, he would've let Trixie go out there that night. That they should talk to the barmaid Alice since they were good friends.
Which was exactly what they ended up doing next. She said they weren't like best friends or anything that she invited her to her place once but then found out she had a cat and didn't end up going over. When they asked her about the letters she said she had a secret admire and had warned her to be careful that she thinks its could be this guy Colin that he's obsessed with Trixie.
They headed over to the theatre where she said he worked, and went to talk to him, but he was mad that Alice said he was "obsessed" because it wasn't "obsession he was just a devoted fan of hers, but now that they were there they wanted to have a look around his work space. Ok, we've got a new area call my sister down and fill her in. Got it.
Me: You got Winters here what's up Jones?
Jones: Let's see Biff introduced us to the barmaid Alice August so we've got a new suspect and she asked Trixie to come to her house but didn't cause she has a cat and probably allergic, then she pointed us in the direction of the theatre where we are now to an obsessed fan named Colin and we want you to come down and check out the scene with us.
Me: Can do thanks for the update.
So, now that I'm here let's have a look around this place. Wow look at this place, look at all these photos. Just how many girls is this guy stalking? We might need to also take a closer look at Trixie's workspace later, but right now we should get little sample bottle to Grace and Terry see what they can come up with. Ok, this time we'll come with you.
Gee you guys if wanted to offer us perfume you should've gotten us a bottle not an old sample of one. Grace teases. Yeah Don this is cheap even for you Terry teases back. Yeah, yeah now come on ladies what can you tell us about the sample. Well it matches our clue and Colin is the sender of our victim's fan mail. This sounds really familiar. Huh Don? Yeah no kidding reminds me of the case we had with Skylar, except our obsessed fan was just trying to protect her, and then our victim ended up being our killer, there were 3 people in the mix there.
Fine, but still let's go grill Colin and ask him some questions. We'll call you if when we need you. Ok, well I'm be here. See ya guys later. When they went to go talk to Colin he was pissed they went through his photos that we had no right to do that, but the guys reminded him that he had no right to stalk of these girls and wondered how he was able to get the perfume because he sure as hell couldn't afford it, the guys words not mine. He said he got a sample of it from the store cause he knew that Trixie liked it, but that the sample was old now. And it also turns out that where he didn't have a cat he took care of the strays and to Jones it meant that Colin would be confessing murdering Trixie before we had solid evidence but that meant nothing to Don because we'd had a case like this once before already.
Don: Hey kid we got new news for ya.
Me: Yeah?
Don: Loverboy got a sample from the store, and also takes care of stray cats, and if we had enough evidence to prove otherwise if I didn't know better I'd say like Jones that it sounds like he was gonna crack any moment now for murdering her even though we don't have enough solid evidence that it could be him.
Me: Great so what now?
Don: Well you said we should take a closer look at Trixie's space so we should do that next. Come on down.
So, split up let's take a look around. Good plan, let us know if you get anything. After we searched the cocktail tables we didn't really seem to find anything except some lipstick that Jones just so happened to know was Alice's and when we gave it back to her she said that even though she and Trixie weren't the best of friends she told Trixie she liked the shade of lipstick she wore and Trixie ended up giving it to her that she was sweet like that, and then the guys noticed she was wearing some form of perfume the kind we were looking for she said her ex used to wear all the time and now she does too she says everyone says its suits her and Jones completely agreed.
When we all came back again we did a full circle of recapping and wondering where our next lead would come from. Poor Trixie no one deserves to die like that. I can't wait to get her killer behind bars, but I still say that Colin is just creepy enough to be her killer we should go back and look at his workspace. Biased opinion Jones, but you're still right it would be a good place to check.
Well, I'd say this camera is totally out of place and looks a little girly, but aside from that check it out didn't our witness say our victim was holding a necklace when she died? We should get an analysis on this stat! I wonder how Colin get his hands on it I bet there's gotta be prints on it somewhere, I'd be surprised if there weren't. Give me that, I'll find out of there are then we'll send the prints off the guys once I do and Alex and Charlie will tell us who they belong to and then we can figure out how it got where we found it.
Like I told you guys prints everywhere, let's send it off to the guys. Hey team how's the case going? Thanks for sending something our way it's been kind of slow down here. But just as entertaining all the same. I recognize that scent anywhere. Which one there wasn't any perfume on it as far as I know? Not from the necklace the necklace has your victims fingerprints on it, but the scent is your Dark Kiss perfume. Oh come on guys I'm not the one on trial here.
No one's on trial yet until we get the I.D. of the killer. Now how did the necklace end up in Colin's hands though? Well we'll be sure to let you know when we call you back after questioning him again. You do that. So, while the guys are gone you wanna tell the two of us about the case? Sure, but I thought you were David's main partner I haven't seen him around lately. Oh he's been around here and there, don't worry about it we all kind of work together back here.
When Don and Jones went to go question Colin again he said he likes following her home to keep her safe but that last night he was too slow and when he got there she was already dead, and that he took the necklace to have something to remember her by. This was oddly suspicious sounding to me.
Me: Ok, guys thanks for letting me know. Anything else you have to report?
Jones: Well gee I'm stumped guys. What do we do now?
Hey Farrah Alex and Charlie were telling us about the necklace you guys found that Colin picked up. Yeah and? And Charlie cut off, I should've noticed it before I've seen a necklace like this before these were some of the ones I was looking at when I got you your necklace for your birthday except the kind I looked at had a male and female piece so that I could have a part too but then decided they might've been a little too much but my point is that these kinds of necklaces come in pairs one you keep and normally one you would give to a lover so your killer is wearing the matching part.
Don: Well guys that only leaves us one person. Let's go arrest Trixie's killer.
It turns out that Alice was the killer and that she had been in love with our victim that she had no intentions to kill her she told her that she was her secret admire and had sent her letters and that Trixie loved her admire and that she'd asked her to meet her that night that it happened that she got her the necklace and that Trixie was confused that she was her secret admire and that she didn't like girls and then laughed in her face and suddenly she just got really angry and that the final straw was when she dropped her necklace on the ground like it was nothing, and Alice got so defensive and angry and she didn't know what happened next that all she remembers next was taking the hammer and hitting her with it taking out all her anger out on her.
When she appeared in court the judge told her that she was being put away for 20 years with a 10 year parole. But Alice still was claiming that she loved Trixie that she never meant to hurt her but that Trixie never should've laughed. Which on that note I agree full hardily on, but Alice still shouldn't had killed her. When we got back Ramirez said he got phone calls coming from Biff and Holly and they wanted our help and that he also wanted us to deliver Colin a restraining order. Which didn't surprise any of us.
So what's first? Let's go see what kind of trouble Biff and Holly got themselves into and on our way back we'll take care of Colin. Actually I thought on these we could split up and each take one. Sure, but I don't want you to take on Colin by yourself with careful consideration of Skylar's case with Dante's friend our little obsessed friend that was fans of both you and Skylar. Yeah you're right.
So, you and Jones take care of Biff and Holly, keep Jones away from Holly he'd probably flirt with her the whole time. Whatever you say Don. Come on let's spread out, and reconvene when we're done for the night before heading home. Ok, but like Mrs. Holly is like an old cat lady so I don't think I'd be flittering with her at all. Either way I'll go talk with Mrs. Holly and you take Biff Don you're handling Colin. Yep, let's go team.
Hello Mrs. Holly what can I do for you? Hello dear good seeing you, I was watching through the window but it looks like I dropped my binoculars. Will you be a dear and help me find them? Yes ma'am. I nod my head, however when I'd found them they were shattered and so since I didn't want to have to go to the HQ and fix them I decided it I should just fix them right here. And not even mention to her that they were broken.
Here you are Mrs. Holly I found them real quick for you. You sure did you sweet officer lady you. Thank you Ms. Winters. Now there is one more thing it's just that there have been many nasty people with snake tattoos walking around these days, maybe you could come by more often for protection? Where I would like nothing more then to help out the best I can do is to make sure we get some guys out here to do some patrolling. Have a nice evening ma'am stay safe. You too Ms. Winters good night.
Meanwhile.... What seems to be the problem Biff? You know the new leader of the Vipers? Yeah we've heard of him what's the problem? You know how they say money got no smell? Sure. Well the boss don't think the same and would be angry with me if he found out that I let him into the club but the last time he was here he left his lighter. Maybe you could help me find it before the boss finds out. Sure can do hate to see Tony get angry and that we'd get on his nerves even though he's done nothin' but get on mine. Either way yeah let me take a look around for ya.
Hey here it is but I should collect some prints while I'm here so that we've got a file for Cordero since he doesn't have a police record yet. Hey Farrah you done already? Yeah it was a piece of cake. Whatcha need? That brother of yours and Alex I got a lighter from Cordero and need the prints to be put into a file so that we've got one. That shouldn't take either of us long tell ya what we'll set it up and you can take the lighter back and keep finishing up. Thanks guys.
Here you go Biff just be more careful from now on ok this is a dangerous game you're getting yourself into. Gee I know Mr. Jones and I will I won't do something like that again I just hope they never run into each other or it's gonna get ugly. Thanks I owe you big time see ya around. Bye Biff.
Meanwhile....
So, Colin we meet again. Hope you're here to apologize for harassing me! That's funny we're actually here cause we've got a restraining order on you. What?! This is only just art, no one understands what it is that I do! Well I'm sorry to heat that but I'm gonna need all the rest of the pictures you've got on this girl. You guys cleaned me all out! I'll see about that I'm gonna have to take a look around your workspace just to be sure.
Aha a roll of film, that should be the last of it. I found this film of yours this better be the last of it! Yeah, that's all of it I swear! Am I done here?! You're free to go and don't make me have to come back here again. When we all come back. So Farrah remember the graffiti case we had? (Yes that's season two however....) Yeah I remember. Those ELM guys? How we were talking about graffiti being art? Yep. Where's this going?
Colin was saying that his pictures weren't him stalking these girls but art that no one understood, sound familiar doesn't it? Not in the same sense but yeah I know where you're coming from. Well come on let's head home.
