I had to take one for the team

This has not been easy these cases being done at a college in our home town. But at least it wasn't CalSci. And it has been interesting to say the least what it's like at other schools even though the only thing I've seen so far on this campus is murders. Not that I'm complaining. The first case we had hit pretty hard. How could a sibling do that to another sibling? The prank had gone too far if it was really just a prank in the end. We'd had a prank go too far before but neither of us actually got physically hurt because of it. Now here we (outfit 29)  were watching at football game at the school at least we weren't playing against our school we'd have to cheer on this school and still hope that our home team won.

Good thing that wasn't the case though we did have a case on our hands as to be expected. Everyone had their part to play. The FBI had a case Jones and his team were to work along side of us the players had a game to play the coaches had their playbooks and stuff and the refs do their safety stuff. I understand some sports stuff Don played baseball and he taught me how to play. But as far as football goes this was like the Superbowl if they had something like that in college this was a very important game and there were like scouts and things there or whatever watching. We were watching the game and we saw the star Quarterback named Troy come out and he was doing so well we were almost at a touchdown and then he fell.

And he wasn't getting back up as we saw the medics go out there our team jumped up from our spots in the audience and rushed onto the field. The crowd was going wild we had to make sure that everyone was safe. But I didn't need to have my powers to tell me that something was not right. We got everyone out of the stadium except the people we had to talk to before we could confirm with everyone else that was still there that Troy was in fact dead. Jones confirmed what I was thinking based on his bulk and his stamina his death suggested fowl play. So it was time to look for some clues. As sad as this was that someone his age was dead his death was of course not natural as Jones had put it. Well obviously! A murder is anything but normal but I just said it my head so that no one else heard it but me and maybe Charlie.

Troy's arm was swollen and wide and as Jones pointed out wide like honey glazed ham it reminded me of how in Avatar the last airbender how Zuko's uncle Iroh only seemed to care about tea just like how Jones seems to only care about food. This boy is in the wrong profession. The body went right off to Nathan while the rest of us went to take a look at the scene of the crime. Like the nearby mouth guard we found whoever dropped it would've seen Troy's fall first hand and we had to talk to Franklin Caldwell the coach of Troy's team. And he may have some valuable info for us about our victim. When we talked to Nathan he agreed that Troy's death was not natural.

Please someone tell me what is so normal about someone's death when it comes to being murdered?! We already guessed that his death consisted of foul play. Although I guess that could also mean drugs. At least we we all came to the conclusion that no human arm should or could ever get this big. I think they underlined that part for my sake. But it was still true. But Nathan was curious too so he looked into it there was a needle mark on his arm and it turned out that he was type 1 diabetic on his medical file. Said that he injected himself with insulin daily. But today it had a secret ingredient a massive dose of EPO which my brother and Jones knew to mean doping hormones but Nathan was positive that Troy didn't know anything about it. But the two don't mix so it cause a blood clot which went up through his arm and into his heart resulting in a heart attack and a fatal one at that so he was killed by the EPO which Jones thought was ironic considering that he was a professional sports player.

The first person we talked to was the coach. He was of course was worried about losing his best player at the start of the season but he also seemed more worried about that than the fact that Troy was dead. He told us we'd have to forgive him since everyone griefs in their own way. But he did say he was in fact saddened about Troy's death considering he held such promise. Since what killed him was medical he asked him if he noticed if there had been anything wrong with Troy but he said no not that he knew of. He said that for that all Troy had done lately is practice for games and then he excused himself because he had a team of traumatized to deal with. Jones thought although the coach had seemed harsh he also thought he had the players best interest at heart well we'd see about that.
