After class me and Matt walk to our lockers. Just talking along the way and messing around.

"Out of the entire class, who do you think is the weakest?" I ask

"Definitely you" he jokes

"No! My heart ist broketh" I say dramatically

"Who do you think?" he says

"In general Searria," I respond "but you're a close second" I add, joking.

"Rude!" Matt says sarcastically, he pushes me gently, unfortunately I lose my balance and tumble backwards.

"Oh titan" Matt curses "Gus are you alright?" he asks holding out a hand.

I grab his hand and yank him down so he falls too. Falling on top of me he just barely catches himself. Holding himself over me, my eyes go wide and I blush.

Confused about the whole ordeal Matt says "Now what was that for?"

still blushing I answer "that's what you get for pushing me Jerk"

"Hmm, fair" he says.

"OOOO GOOPS HAS A BOYFRIEND" someone says across the hall, Matt's face turns red and he hastily gets up-finally realizing why I was blushing.

He holds out a hand to help me up and I take it. We both look away, blushing over what just happened. We get our things from our lockers and head to class. I look at Matt, I like him, more than I thought I ever would but here I am. He looks over at me, his brown eyes shining with flecks of gold and bringing a warmth to me despite his cold attitude. after making eye contact he blushes and looks away again.

"Oh if only..." I whisper, only I hear.

"Hey Matt do you want to come over after school?" I ask after a few minuets so it's less awkward, hoping he'll say yes

Blushing slightly he says "Yeah sure, that sounds nice"

--Time skip--

When we get to his house, Gus leads me to his room and we do our homework. After, we eat with his dad, who insists on calling him his name- Perry.

"Oh damn, I don't have cloths." I say

"Oh! Well that's okay, you can borrow some of mine."

"Thanks" I say in return

Gus goes over to his closet and grabs a big t-shirt and a pair of sweat pants.

Handing them to me he says "The pants should fit you and the shirt will definitely be to big, I'm gonna wait outside so you can change."

When he leaves the room I start to change, everything fits just like he said.

After talking a bit about illusion structures and how to train your mind to hold a clear picture, me and Gus watch a few movies on his crystal ball before finally going to bed.

"Hey Gus-" I start only to be interupted by him

"You are not sleeping on the floor." He says pointedly

"Well where am I supposed to sleep?" I say almost snapping at him

"On the bed"

"Well where will you sleep?"

"Matt, we can just share the bed"

"oh" I say feeling my face heat up

Gus crawls under the covers and lifts them up to let me in. about a half hour passes and I just cant fall asleep. Gus fell asleep almost instantly.

I feel him move next to me and I look over. Just as I do, Gus wraps his arms around me and buries his head into my chest. My face heats up. Is this really happening? Hesitant, I wrap my arms around his back and hold him closer to me.

I wonder if its okay for me to do this. What if he really doesn't like me back and he is just looking for something to hold? Yeah that's probably it, friends probably do this all the time. Right? Augh, how would I even know? I've never really had friends before. Is this platonic? Does Gus like me?

Either way, I don't want this to end.

"Hey Matt" Gus nudges me, I thought he was asleep.

"Yeah?"

"I want to show you something" he says while drawing a spell circle.

Thread like lines of color start to swirl together in the air. Mostly blue but with pale yellow swirls here and there. It looks as if somebody painted the colors into existence, and left them to their own whim. In constant motion it creates a mesmerizing sight of color and light blending with one another.

There are simply no words that I can give, and none that I need to give. I fall asleep watching the colors ebb and flow.

Still holding Gus I ask myself, Is this okay? Is it okay to love him like this?
