"Wake up!" I was awakened by Kreacher, the loathsome house elf. And that's where it all began. My journey, that I'm about to share with you.
I stood up, grumbling and walked downstairs, rubbing my eyes. After a breakfast in silence I walked upstairs, fairly glad that I didn't meet my mother anywhere. But as soon as I thought that I regretted it, because right at that moment, she appeared as though out of thin air. I suppose she could have apparated, but when you apparate it's noisy. Any who, off the point.
"You better be in Slytherin, Sirius!" she said sternly. The usual, she said this to me around a hundred times yesterday. And the day before, and the before, and so on and so forth.
"Now, go get dressed and come down instantly! You'll be late otherwise," and she left me alone.
I just continued walking, my mood instantly bitter. The reminder of the family I come from. Pure-blood loving, Slytherin adoring idiots. I hate it! Why wasn't I born in a different family?
After getting dressed and thinking of a few swear words I walked downstairs. My trunk was already brought down so I sat on it after I fastened my cloak. I felt excited to finally go to Hogwarts.
My mother ushered me and my brother, Regulas, outside and took both of our hands. My father walked behind with the trunks. I walked silently. After we had walked into a dark alley, my mother apparated. I felt as though I was spinning and being squeezed through a tube. Finally we landed in some dark alley that looked just like the previous one. It felt good to finally be able to breathe properly, and I broke away from my mothers grasp instantly. Walking in front of everyone else, I was the first one to reach platform 9 3/4. I walked right through the barrier, not caring whether anyone was looking, and soon was engulfed by steam. The scarlet steam engine could be seen even through all the commotion and grey clouds.
"Sirius Black!" came my mothers shrill voice. "Never run off like that again!"
"Yeah. Yeah," I muttered.
I took my trunk from my father and climbed onto the train. I found an empty compartment not far down and I slid inside.
Once the train took off someone knocked on the door. I looked up to see a boy with messy black hair and glasses standing there. I slid the compartment door open and he walked inside.
"You mind?" he asked and I shook my head. He sat down next to me.
"What's your name?" he asked me. "I'm James Potter."
"Sirius Black," said I.
"What's your blood status?"
Oh gosh, he better not be one of those pure blood loving freaks.
"Pure blood," I answered unwillingly. "You?"
"Pure blood," he answered looking out the window.
"You aren't one of those pure blood loving freaks, are you?" The words escaped my mouth before I could stop them.
James laughed and shook his head. "No. Are you?"
"No."
We sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes until there was a knock on the door.
The compartment door slid open and a boy with shabby brown-ish hair entered.
"Can I sit with you? Everywhere else is full," he said. Me and James nodded our heads and he sat down opposite from me.
"I'm Remus Lupin, by the way," he added.
"Sirius Black," I pointed a finger at James, "and that's James Potter."
