Oh my goodness! I made the team! I was so excited, so I ran to my mom and told her everything. She was so proud of me.

1 week later...

I went to Kids' Foot Lockers and got some fresh Kobe X's that matched our team's colors. When I went back to school, everyone loved my new shoes.
I trained for 3 hours everyday, trying to master my ball handling.

First Middle School Game...

I was so nervous, especially when he told me that I was a starting point guard. There were 6 minutes on the clock. The referee had just threw the jump ball. And the game was on! The point guard, or my defender had the ball. He threw a pass to the shooting guard. He did a step back and shoot the jumper from the elbow and bounced off the rim. Our team had the rebound, and he passed it to me. I brought the ball up the court. I called for a screen, and the small forward set the pick. I was driving into the paint until I saw the shooting guard open at the corner. I threw a no-look pass to him, but he missed he corner shot. Our center got the rebound, and he drained the put back. We finished the quarter with 18 points. I had 2 points and 3 assists, shooting 50%. I also got 1 steal. The next quarter, I figured out how they played their defense. They played 3-2 Zone Defense for one half, and then Man to Man defense the other half. In only the 1st half of the game, I had 6 points, 1 rebound, and 4 assists, and 1 steal, shooting 75%. The score was 30-13. The coach wanted me to be patient on offense, and give the ball to everybody, and also not to shoot too much. We were warming up for the start of the 3rd quarter.

Start of 3rd quarter...

I was bringing the ball up the court, again. I passed the ball to the small forward. He was dribbling the ball to the top of the key. He saw me cut to the basket and threw an amazing flashy pass to the power forward (he pretty much had all of our team's rebounds with 9 rebounds) and he got fouled at the contact layup, and it rolled around the rim. He made all of his free throws, and the lead margin was 15 points! We won 42-23! I scored 12 points, 1 rebound, and 6 assists. Everyone congratulated me as I was leaving the school, and then something very awesome happened...
