(Y/N) had to use all of their muscles to prevent Aria from completely dragging them away.
"I want to go back."
(Y/N) said with a huff.
"Why do you want to play with him? Am I not good enough?"
Ugh! Children at this age should not be able to manipulate like this.
"I just want to make a new friend so we can play more games!"
(Y/N) said with a childish grin before switching to the infamous 'puppy eyes'.
"Do you not want to play more games with me?"
(Y/N) sniffled for extra effect. They weren't sure why they were so drawn to the boy, but they'll find out soon enough.
"I guess we can play with him.."
Aria sighed in defeat.
"Yay!"
(Y/N) imeadeatly ran to the boy.
"Guess what? My big sister says you can play the beanstalk game with us!"
"Are you sure?"
The boy asked quietly.
"Of course!"
When the boy turned around, Aria gasped. (Y/N) now knew why no one wanted to play with him.
"It's him."
Aria said quietly.
It was Connor, the male lead. Red eyes and all.
Too late to turn back now.
(Y/N) decided to take the high road and play ignorant.
"You can play the hero!"
(Y/N) said as cheerfully as possible. Connor blinked.
"Really?"
"Yeah, let's go!"
Aria grabbed (Y/N)'s shoulder before they could do anything and took them to the side.
"Are you sure you want to hang out with the freak?"
Aria said it quietly, but (Y/N) could tell Connor heard it by the way he flinched.
"Don't call him that! He has a name!"
He's your future husband!!
(Y/N) looked at Connor.
"What's your name?"
Connor should be given the opportunity to properly introduce himself.
"Connor."
Connor mumbled while looking at the ground. (Y/N) freed themself from Aria's grip and walked up to Connor.
"Well, Connor, I can tell this is the beginning of a great friendship!"
