Third P.O.V
(Y/N) felt the person in their arms go limp.
Wow. She fainted.
The man and (Y/N) stared at each other, wondering who would make the first move.
There were suddenly shouts and screams coming from a few rooms down. A few knights burst into the room and subdued the man. One knight grabbed the princess from (Y/N)'s arms. The knight checked the princess for injuries.
"Thank-"
When the knight looked back up, (Y/N) was gone.
(Y/N) was currently running as far away from the house as fast as they can. That way the king can't find them and make them become a knight.
Although (Y/N) managed to avoid the knights, they ran into a different familiar face.
"I see you managed to get out alive."
It was the boy from earlier, the one who looked like a noble.
"What's it to you?"
(Y/N) asked, not sure if the boy could be trusted.
"Well, you seem to be smart for children our age, so I would like to hire you to assist me in my duties."
(Y/N) laughed as if the boy was joking, but he wore a straight face.
"Me?"
(Y/N) pointed at themself.
"Why?"
"I just told you."
The boy said with a irritated expression.
"Why would I decide to work for a stranger?"
(Y/N) narrowed their eyes at the boy. The boy sighed.
"I am Gabriel Stan, son of marquis Stan."
(Y/N) stared at the boy wide eyed as he showed his identification.
Oh shoot.
"No thank you."
(Y/N) quickly turned around, but was stopped by Gabriel's voice.
"I noticed you didn't want to be seen back there. I don't know what you're running from..."
I'm running from your crazy future wife.
"But if you become my assistant, I'll protect you."
He doesn't seem to be lying.... Should I take the chance? For the money?
"Sure. I'll be your assistant, if I'm paid fairly."
"Great! I wouldn't have it any other way."
Gabriel and (Y/N) shook hands.
I hope I'm making the right choice.
