Hongjoong's povI awoke with Seonghwa in my arms, sleeping soundly, his head on my chest. I smiled softly and toyed with his hair as I let him sleep longer. My stomach growled lowly as I laid with him.
"Sweet prince, it's tome to get up for breakfast," I claimed before kissing his forehead. He yawned and shook his head.
"I wanna keep sleeping. You're comfy," seonghwa said as he pulled me closer to himself. I smiled and pecked his lips.
"Baby, you need to eat," I said and sat us up. I knew if I let us keep laying down, then he would try to keep sleeping. Seonghwa yawned and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. I snapped a picture on my iPhone and saved it as my lock screen.
"Babe," he whined as he heard the camera. I smiled and stood up. I pulled on a pair of sweatpants before handing Seonghwa a pair of mine. His eyes lit up as I handed him the cloth.
"You're really gonna let me wear your clothes?" Seonghwa asked happily. I smiled at his happiness and nodded.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I?" I asked as he quickly pulled on the pants. He smiled down at himself before rushing to give me a hug.
"Thank you! Can I also wear one of your shirts?" Seonghwa asked. I smiled still and handed him a large black t shirt. He squealed and slipped it on. He hugged me again and kissed my cheek.
"You're welcome, baby." I was still smiling as we walked hand-in-hand to the dining room. We sat down with our plates and began eating quietly. I soon finished eating and laid my head on Seonghwa's shoulder.
Seonghwa patted my head and continued to eat until he was finished with his plate. He reached for the wine, side eyeing me the whole time to see if I'd stop him. I smiled and laughed.
"You can drink, baby. We're docked at your town, so there isn't any danger," I said as I also reached for my wine glass. We sipped our wine and talked about our likes and dislikes, then managed to get onto the topic of ex lovers.
"My last boyfriend sucked," Seonghwa laughed drunkenly as he sipped on his second glass. I was still fairly close to being sober, even after my first two glasses.
"What do you mean?" I asked. Seonghwa was giggling still.
"I don't know if I should tell you, you might get upset,"
"I won't get upset, baby. What happened?" I asked. Seonghwa's giggles ceased as he seemingly remembered his ex boyfriend.
"His name was Wooyoung, and he was amazing at the start of our relationship. He always treated me well, unless he was drunk. When he got drunk, he would throw things at me or hit me," Seonghwa mumbled. I sobered up completely from the shock.
"What happened to Wooyoung, baby?"
"He left town to join an enemy ship. For a long time, I thought I had scared him off, but him leaving was truly a blessing. Sure, it hurt to lose him despite all the pain he had caused, but I loved him."
"And what is Wooyoung's last name?" I asked. Seonghwa looked up at me, drunk and confused, but answered nonetheless.
"Jung. Jung Wooyoung,"
"Oh shit," a voice from behind us sounded. I quickly turned around and found just the crewmate I was looking for. I waved him over just as Seonghwa looked up from his third glass of wine.
Seonghwa nearly jumped out of his skin seeing Wooyoung. He spilled his wine and dropped the glass quickly as he jumped up from his seat. He stood behind the other side of the table, farther away from Wooyoung.
"Hey, sunshine," Wooyoung mumbled. A fire blazed in my eyes, making me struggle to keep calm. The tears in my lover's eyes were enough to set me off.
"Jung Wooyoung!" I shouted, causing Seonghwa's tears to drip down his cheeks as he rushed off.
"I'll deal with you later, Jung. For now, I need to take care of my soulmate," I stated and rushed off behind Seonghwa.
Seonghwa's pov
Seeing just the man who had abandoned me wordlessly brought a wave of emotions, memories, and tears.
This was the same man who loved me for two painfully long years, then abandoned me to join the enemy. I had thought he died, since no letters came, but there he was, healthy as can be.
I rushed out of the kitchen as quickly as my drunken body could take me. I jumped onto Hongjoong's bed and curled into a ball, trying to calm my breathing.
Memories clouded my mind as I struggled to breathe, one being most prevalent.
The first time he got drunk was in my bedroom with me. We were newly twenty one, and wanted to drink for the first time together.
Nothing happened with one hard seltzer, so we continued to drink them. I had two, but Wooyoung had five. It shouldn't have been enough to get us drunk, but we had no idea we were both lightweights.
That was the first night he had ever laid his hands on my body in a less than positive manor. He left many handprints and bruises all over my abdomen and thighs. I had to wear sweatpants and sweaters to hide all the bruises.
"Breathe, baby, please," Hongjoong begged as he cried softly. I hadn't noticed how shallow and quick my breathing had become until my soulmate mentioned it.
Soulmate. Hongjoong is my soulmate, and he will protect me. I am his soulmate, and I will protect him.
"That's it, baby, calm down," he smiled, tearfully, at me. Once I could breathe well enough to speak, I did.
"Wooyoung is here?"
