    Seonghwa's pov

"You felt that, too, right? I'm not the only one?" Hongjoong asked once we separated. I smiled softly and nodded.

"You know what that means, right? We're soulmates!" He exclaimed and kissed me again. I smiled into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. His hands softly held onto my waist.

"I can't believe it, Hongjoong. How did we manage this?" I asked, laughter edging on my voice. He smiled at me and shook his head silently.

"I have no clue, but at least we're together now," He smiled still and laid back down. He opened his arms for me to lay on his chest. I laid down happily and snuggled in close to him.

"Goodnight, prince," Hongjoong kissed my forehead sweetly. I smiled softly and kissed his chest.

"Goodnight, captain," I spoke as I fell asleep in his arms.

I awoke the next morning to breakfast in bed. Hongjoong was smiling as he sat the tray on my lap. I smiled up at him and thanked him before patting the bed beside me.

"Come eat with me," I spoke as I scooped up a bite of eggs on my fork. I happily fed both him and myself the delicious breakfast.

"Is it good? I made it myself," Hongjoong smiled sheepishly at me. I smiled widely and nodded.

"It's amazing, Joong," I kissed his cheek then we continued eating.

Soon, we had finished all the food on the tray and drank the wine that was present on the tray. I could t really handle alcohol well, so that little bit of wine made me a bit tipsy.

"I can't handle alcohol all that well, Joong," I laughed softly and leaned my head on his shoulder. He smiled softly and caressed my hair.

"Well, now I know not to give you wine at breakfast anymore. Maybe just at dinner time I'll give you wine," he smiled still and kissed my forehead. I giggled and wrapped my arms around him.

"What are we gonna do today?" I asked as he held me closely.

"I'm going to manage the ship, and you're going to drink some water to dilute the wine in your system," he said as he tried to stand up. I whined and held him tighter.

"No, don't leave me," I whined and put my face in his neck. He smiled widely and kissed my cheek.

"Come on, prince. I have to make sure the ship doesn't fall through without my directing," Hongjoong said as he finally got me to let go of him. I pouted and turned away from him.

He removed the tray from my lap and sat it on the bedside table.

"Prince, don't act like this. I have to take care of my ship and crew," He tried. I pouted until he gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"You missed!" I laughed and pulled him in for another sparking kiss. He happily kissed back before pulling away.

"Drink some water and take a nap, prince. You'll need it to get the wine through your system." He left the room, shutting the door behind himself. I whined and drank some water from the bedside table before laying back down.

"I don't wanna sleep," I whined to myself. I still did as he said and fell asleep for a few hours. When I awoke next, it was almost noon.

Hongjoong was in the room, running around frantically. I heard as our ship halted.

"What's happening?" I asked as I awoke quickly. Hongjoong came to me and kissed my lips.

"I like you, stay safe," he said as he locked the door behind himself. He locked it from the outside so I couldn't get out.

"Oh hell no," I snarled and jumped up. I grabbed a lamp from the bedside table and beat the doorknob off. I pushed the door open and found a war going on.

"Step away from my captain," I spoke slowly as I cocked my gun. The male holding onto hongjoong let go of him and backed away.

"Good," I smiled widely as I shot him in the forehead.

"Wait- baby, you didn't have to-"

"It's them or us," I said as I cocked my gun again. I looked around and began shooting with Hongjoong's directions.

After hours of battle, we had finally ended it. Hongjoong looked at me, visibly shocked by how ruthless I am.

"Baby, I never expected that of you— especially not while you're wearing a bear onesie," hongjoong giggled. I looked down at myself and blushed. No one but Hongjoong had ever seen me in my bear onesie, and now the whole crew had.

"Well, get used to it, captain. As your first mate, I can't let anything get to you," I smiled and held his hand. He smiled softly and kissed the top of my hand.

"Thank you, Seonghwa." He kissed the top of my hand again before pulling me into the medical room.

When he lifted his shirt, I screamed at him.

"Kim Hongjoong! How dare you not tell me when you are hurt?!" I asked loudly as I quickly began cleaning and dressing his stab wound.

"I didn't want you to worry so much while we were in a battle. I'm okay, baby, I promise," he kissed the top of my head sweetly.

"As long as you're okay, then I'm okay," I kissed his cheek once I was finished. We walked out and found one of his crew on the ground, a pool of blood around him.

"Quick, bring him in! I can fix this!" I exclaimed as three men quickly picked him up. Hongjoong began crying as he saw who it was.

"Please, pull through this, Yeosang," he whispered as I began applying pressure to his bullet wound in his thigh.

"Hongjoong, this doesn't look so good," I mumbled as I finally stopped the bleeding and removed the bullet.

"What do you mean? You stopped the bleeding!" He cried.

"If we don't get him to a hospital, then he may not make it. He needs proper care and a blood transfusion. He seems to have lost two pints out there," I said as I washed the blood off my hands.

"Okay, I'll turn us around and get him to a hospital," hongjoong nodded as he left the medical room on the ship.

I added a large bandage around his thigh and secured it with tape. I left him on the bed and searched for other, injured, people.

"Seonghwa, please, help her! She was stabbed in the stomach and she's six months pregnant! Please, save my wife and daughter," a man begged as he carried in his wife. I gasped and quickly got to helping her to the best of my ability.

I stopped her bleeding, but noticed more blood coming from between her legs.

"Sir, she is miscarrying. I don't think your daughter will make it..." I said as I watched the man cry harshly.

"No, no, no!" He sobbed as he sat down beside the bed. He held his wife's hand and cried more.

"Hongjoong, how much longer until we make it to land?" I asked as he steered the ship.

"About twenty minutes," he claimed as I noticed the dock coming into view.

"A woman got stabbed in the stomach and now she is miscarrying. We have to get there as quick as possible," I said. Hongjoong nodded and sped up.

In half the time we made it to the dock. We carried our wounded into the hospital and allowed the doctors to heal them.

"What are we going to do in the mean time?" I asked as we waited on the ship. He smiled and kissed my cheek.

"We're going to go on our first date," he said as he pulled me into our bedroom so we could change clothes. I smiled and changed, very happy we would be going on a date.
