"I'm not ready yet!" I yelled to my door while wrapping myself in a towel. I quickly stuffed my already overpacked suitcase with remaining clothes from my now empty closet. A quick glance at my clock ruined any chance of a good mood. "05:00, really Kieren? Couldn't have picked a better time?" Again, someone knocked on my door. "I swear to god if you don't stop knocking I will break your... h- hey Andy, sorry about that."

A shy smile could be seen on his face while he rubbed his hand on the back of his neck. "Don't worry about it mate, are you ready to go? The rest are waiting in the lobby." Andy's eyes drifted from me to my suitcase on the bed. "I'm ready as soon as i figure out how to fit everything inside my suitcase, are you sure i can't bring a second one?" I looked at Andy and he shook his head. "You know there is no room for extra luggage on the bus. Everyone is allowed one suitcase, nothing more." I dropped myself on my bed next to a still not closable suitcase. "What am I supposed to do? I can't leave my stuff behind? What if I need it? I can't go, that's it, I'm staying home. Find someone else to go with."

Andy let out a deep sigh and tried to cover up his smile. "Jade, is it possible that you're just really nervous? You're not arguing or making fun of my cap at all... I wore this one specially for you cause I know you hate it. Come on, I know there has to be a snarky comment in there somewhere!" but I didn't feel like responding.

"Kieren wouldn't have asked you to do this if he thought you weren't good enough and you know it."

She knew in the back of her head that he was right, but she couldn't shake the feeling that Kieren only recommended her because they're best friends. There had to be better artists out there, he should've picked someone else. Walking over to the suitcase he said "Oh no, don't even go there. I know what you're thinking and you know he wouldn't do that! You're really talented and that's why he chose you. Now, we're only gone for a couple weeks at a time, so you can always bring different clothes when we get back if you want."

With a roll of my eyes and no energy to argue with him, I walked over to my suitcase, and mindlessly took out a couple of shirts I convinced myself I didn't even really want to bring in the first place. Andy closed my suitcase for me and that meant there was nothing left to do except grab my guitar, lock up and leave.

"No turning back now." I whispered to myself as I locked my front door and walked down the hallway.
