Part 2: Nick's Graduation

It was the day before Nick's graduation and both Nick and Charlie were anxious. Charlie was even more worried than Nick was. Charlie started to get ready in the morning to go to school.

Charlie walks to maths class with his notebooks as usual but when he gets to class he looks over expecting to see Nick in his usual spot, but he wasn't. Charlie wasn't very worried though he thought maybe he was just late. So he sat down and waited to see Nick walk through the door. After 3 minutes the bell rings and everyone in class quites down. Nick still wasn't in class, he must be sick Charlie thought and went on with the rest of class.

At lunch Charlie sat down with Isaac and Tao. They both noticed Charlie had a slight worried face. "Hey are you ok", Tao asks. "Ya I'm just a bit worried because Nick isn't here and he hasn't texted or anything", Charlie says with a slight frown." Charlie then reaches down in his pocket to grab his phone. He texts Nick-

Hey your not at school
are you ok?

Nick
Ya I'm ok I'm just sick

He puts his phone away to talk to Tao and Isaac. After lunch he goes to the rest of his classes for the day.

After school, Charlie gets home and does his school work. Then gets bored and starts watching a movie. He remembers after the movie that Nicks graduation is tomorrow. He starts to worry again thinking maybe next year he will just drop out of highschool so he can be with Nick. But then he thinks again knowing he shouldn't do that. He decides to text Nick, that always makes him feel better.

Charlie
Hey, your going to be at school tomorrow right?

Nick
I think so I'm feeling alot better now.

Charlie
Ok good, your graduation is tomorrow.

Nick
Ya I know, I can't wait!!

They text until they both got tired and they said goodnight to each other and went to bed.

In the morning Charlie wakes up and gets ready for school. He goes down stairs, stops at the mirror to fix his hair, and then walks into the kitchen. As he walks in the kitchen he sees Tory standing there drinking apple juice through a straw. "Hello Charlie", she says. Charlie looks at her with a quick smile but slowly the smile fades away. He reaches into the cupboard and grabs a box of cereal.

Nick is at home getting ready for school as well. He goes into the kitchen to see his mom sitting at the table. "Good morning Nicky", she says with a bright smile. "Morning mum", he replies as he pours some coffee into a mug with a N on it for his name. He sips out of the mug as he stares out the window admiring the bright sunny morning. Nellie [Nick's dog] runs out into the kitchen with her tail wagging ready to say good morning to Nick. "Aww good morning Nellie", Nick says with a smile as he pets Nellies head.

Nick and Charlie leave their houses and arrive at school. It was the big day. Charlie prepared himself for the day and Nick was already prepared. They went through their first couple classes and then it was lunch.

After lunch was the beginning of the graduation. All the students piled into a auditorium the school rented big enough for all the guests. After all the students got situated it was time for the parents to come in. After all the parents got there it was finally time to start the graduation. The principal was handed a microphone and the audience went silent waiting for the graduation to start. "I am very honored to say that these students are some of the most successful people I have ever met", the principal said smiling with pride.

The ceremony went on with many peoples names called and a short speech from a few of them. At the end of the graduation all the graduates threw their hats up in the air and they along with the crowd all cheered.

Nick felt relieved that the stress of school was almost over they had just a few more days of school left after their graduation. Charlie was a different story though, he was proud of Nick graduating but he could stop thinking about what he would do for a year without him.
