Corazon's pov

I stare at the beautiful island with humans and..... toys??? I feel like that devil fruit power is kind of useless... anyways...

I felt Darla tug on my shirt. "Can we eat? I'm starving and tireddd." Darla complains. I pat his head "Ok go tell you mo- where did she go???" I panicked. "Oh! she went to meet with her ma." Darla smiled.

before we walked to this restaurant that looks like a bar, I saw a ship. It had a lion on it... I hope the pirate's captain doesn't look like a lion. As we sat at a round table, a waitress came in. "Hello! Welcome! What would you like to eat today?" She asked. "I would like french fries and chicken nuggets!" Darla yelled... a little too loud... "I would just like pasta." 

As we ate, I saw a group of people gambling. As a matter of fact, I'm good at gambling. But that one guy is playing and he's winning every time so I think imma step out on this one. Then a group of thieves? pirates? I could care less, walk-in and scam the poor old man. Looks like the man winning is blind, I feel sorry but it's better than resurrecting from the dead.

Then a young man wearing a fake beard that is really obvious steps in. He says that the blind man is right and I do feel relieved someone stepped up. I couldn't bro, I would die again. "Yea! That man is cheating!" A kid says...wait... DARLA?!!

"DARLA! WHAT IN THE HEAVENS NAME ARE YOU DOING!!?" I quickly stand up and knock the kid to the floor. "I'M STANDING UP YOU CLOWN! I'M GOING TO BE A PIRATE!" Darla says. I could feel all eyes on me as the young man with a beard is smiling. I shake my head "Darla, I'm a veteran of the marines. You know you might die from them and I don't want to see your mother crying." I put my hand on his shoulder. 

Darla looks down, mostly petrified of making his mom cry because of him dying. "Wait clown, you didn't tell me you were one with the marines!" He gasped. I try to make him shut up, but the blind guy came up to me. "What was your name?" He asked. I started sweating "uhhhhh ᶜᵒʳᵃᶻᵒⁿ" I whispered. I'm guessing he didn't hear me and just walked away.

"OK DARLA LETS GO HOME AND SEE YOUR MOTHER. SHE MUST BE WORRIED SICK." I rushed, grabbing his wrist and dragging him out of the restaurant. As I walked out, I heard a big crash but I could care less. 

As Darla guides me to a house, I felt everyone giving me the death stare. Do they know who I am? Or are they just judging me because of my makeup?(yea) I shivered. 

"MAMA WE'RE HOMEEE" Darla yelled. Darla's mom came to the door, fast. "There you are! I was wondering where you guys went." She smiled as she leaned on the wall. "Oh yea, Corazon, my grandmother is in the kitchen. Please help her make dinner while I unpack with Darla." She requested. I nodded and walked to the kitchen, she was there, making dinner but very slowly. 

"Hello ma'am do you need help? I'm one of your daughter's friends." I explain. "I heard of you don't worry. Now go give me the salt." She responded. As we make dinner, we talk about our lives, Law, her children, and her grandchildren. "I do want my daughter and her child to stay here. But Darla wishes to be a pirate or a marine. I think mostly a pirate but that doesn't help. Our ruler is a Warlord but from my experience, Warlords are devils." 

"Can you tell me your experience?" I asked. She glanced around for a minute before telling me to sit down at the table while she finished dinner. Once she finished it and put on a cover to keep it hot, she sat down and started thinking. "My husband." 

"Your husband?"

"Yes. He was a marine, he was someone I loved. But the ruler of this land killed him. I saw it with my own eyes when I was hiding from them." She whispered, her voice trembling.

"Who is this them?" I questioned getting wayyy too into the conversation. She hesitated thinking if she should tell me or not. The room was quiet, not a single sound coming from the outside except the wind. She leans in so she can whisper it to me.

"Doflamingo."
