chapter 8

A/N

Hey sweethearts, I'm sorry if this chapter was a little bit late. 

Corazon's POV

I wake up to the sounds of people talking. How many hours has it been? Minutes? 

"We'll lure other criminals by using them." A citizen says. But like, I'm not a criminal. Wait maybe I am on this island since I said my real name and not a cover-up one. Shit.

"Let's move on with the luring plan!"

"Okay!"

We then saw people flying in different directions. "It's Pirates!" One said. "I finally found him!" He smiled throwing an ax at Usopp. Luckily, it missed him with only a few feet. "We'll kill the 500M God Usopp and finally become popular among the pirates!" The captain declares. Well damn, I thought they were focused more on the one piece and not popularity. Sigh, maybe they're so weak to stick to becoming popular.

They started charging at the people. The people tried talking to them saying that it'll 'end the game' but I know Doflamingo isn't going to end it that easy. After everyone knows of his evil deeds he's pulling out every trick in the book. This island might as well sink to the bottom of the ocean, better than having Doflamingo as the ruler/king. 

They didn't stop and think about it; they just kept running toward them. Oh. My. God. This fight is so one-sided. The pirates will of course win because like, they're pirates! There's a small chance that the citizens would win but that doesn't work. Hmm, maybe it'll work on that one island on top of an elephant. When will that god damn elephant die?

King Riku took action very quickly. He started protecting the people and even using his body as a shield. A pirate threw a grenade and King Riku quickly covered the two men. "You didn't get hurt?" He asked a blonde-haired man. "N-no!" "Very well then." 

They all came rushing at him. "I won't let you guys lay a finger on the citizens!" He yells before making them all fly with only one move from his sword. 

After defeating them, Viola quickly treated the wounded citizens. I suddenly hear a yell. "I'M SORRY! I REALLY AM! NO! HELP" Usopp cries out, crawling away from a man with a knife. The man came closer and cut Usopp's ropes out. Other people also cut the others while I just cut my own with a pocket knife... Don't ask... 

"We shouldn't have tied you guys up. For a decade, we held a grudge against King Riku which was manipulated by doflamingo on that night." He explains. I nudge Kin'emon. "Yo what happened that night?" I whisper. He does a thinking pose before shrugging. "And we didn't even notice that we had lost our loved ones. Instead, we praised the king who was a wicked pirate.  Even though we know the truth. We still choose to follow him!

"We were looking for salvation in this game that HE started! We lost sense of what was happening.  What going to happen to us? To this country?" He cries, walking up to King Riku. "Please! Save us!" They all bow to us... well, to him. "What are we supposed to do, King Riku!?" They all say stuff that they were going to follow his every command or they'll fight for him. 

"Shall we... wait for a while?" He asks the people. "What? Why?" He looks down. "It won't be too late to choose death." Before he looks back, we all felt this chill. It was the blind admiral! Wait... did he give me his name? no, he just asked mine then walked away. 

"Navy Admiral Fujitora!?" 

"Dressrosa was once a symbol of peace. I'm not letting you get involved in this war." His declares. Well, I think that isn't directed to me, I have to save a guy before he dies. "W-w-w-w-WHY THE HELL IS HE HERE?!" Usopp manages to say in the ugliest expression ever. Talk about a 5-star guy.

King Riku walks up to Fujitora. "King Riku, I'm betting on the same one like you." He rolls a cup with two dice before placing it on the floor. "On the straw hat and nothing else!" Hold on... Are you saying Law is nothing?! I'm quite offended I raised that boy and I also protected him. He is something. 

The sun shines like Jesus was coming down. "Oh, yea... Corazon." Fuji-whatever said to me. "I want to talk to you about these... government files." He pulls a paper of my files. 

NAME: CORAZON

OCCUPATION: MARINE COMMANDER

BIRTHDAY: JULY 15th 

HEIGHT: 293 cm

STATUS: DEAD.

The status was what made my eyes open. I looked at the paper, then Fuji, then the paper, then Fuji, and then again Fuji. "Look I'm actually not Corazon...? I'm a uhh different person... yea..."  I stuttered, searching for a good lie in my mind. This Fuji-whatever guy just frowned at me, the look that is where a parent is disappointed in their child. 

I grabbed both his shoulders. "Yea. Why don't we go and talk about it um somewhere... private..." I muttered, looking at the shocked faces. "Wait! Corazon! So you are a celestial dragon? And even brothers with Doflamingo?!" Viola asks, stepping closer to me. Everyone started backing up and going in a fighting stance. "Viola back up! He must be evil like his brother!" King Riku said. 

I can't believe everyone would turn against me once I tell them I'm a celestial dragon and siblings with Doflamingo. I mean, yea I would be cautious if I found out this evil person had siblings too. "It's fine! I'll see his true desires in his mind." Viola puts made hand circles and put them in her eyes. "Peeping mind!"

...

"All I feel is... This sadness, and this desire to kill his brother. He also wants to meet Law for he... h-he..." Viola's tears were coming down. "Such a horrible childhood...Terrible..." She whispers. "Y-you died for him... you sacrificed everything... you're such a great guy..." She cries, her hand over her mouth.  "Your childhood... It's so gruesome..." She burst into tears, both of her hands covering her face.

I hugged her. She doesn't deserve to witness what happened to my life.

Such a sweet soul.
