Later that evening when her brother said that he wanted to get a head start on a project he was planning before Langa and Miya arrived, Koyomi figured she could get a little more practice in and made her way to the skatepark that wasn't too far from their house. Living a couple of blocks over from a skatepark certainly came in handy with this family. Reki was even looking to start training their younger sisters already. Nanaka was really excited to be like her older siblings but Chihiro still had some nerves to shake off.

Normally she tagged along here with her brother and sometimes Langa but seeing how neither one of them was here to tell her to be careful when going down the mini ramps that the park provided, she took advantage of that. Pushing her foot along the ground to pick up speed, Koyomi felt her breath catch in her throat as she soared up and jumped from the top of the ramp. It was short-lived and she fell to the ground after stumbling when she landed on her board wrong but that little jump gave her a taste of what it felt like to fly. She knew that it wasn't anything like actual flying but she wanted to soar again and aim higher. Her brother and Langa always got great height and she wanted to be able to reach just as high as them one day.

Hearing some other teens that were also at the skatepark behind her, Koyomi tilted her head back while still on the ground and noticed two boys sitting on top of the bigger ramp with their legs dangling over the side, laughing together. The sight reminded her of her brother and Langa. The two of them were really close just like these guys seemed to be. Was it all because of skating?

Lifting her head back forward, Koyomi sighed as she stood up again. The times that she spent here together with Reki were a lot of fun and she was grateful for all that he has taught her but seeing other people skating with friends their own ages looked like great memories waiting to happen. Her friend in school has watched from the sidelines and cheered her on before but she wasn't interested in skateboarding like Koyomi was so she was left hoping that she would run into someone she could skate with one day.

Blowing some of the dust off the wood that he was sanding down, Reki went to start at the other end when he heard someone sit down beside him. At first, he thought it was Koyomi already back from the skatepark and was about to ask what she wanted when he looked up and blinked seeing Langa sitting there, giving him a small smile.

"Langa? Oh, crap! Is it late already?" Reki questioned while frantically trying to reach for his phone; afraid that he might have lost track of time.

"No, I just thought I would come by a little early," Langa explained, allowing the redhead to relax. "You're making another board? Did something happen to your other one?" When Langa had poked his head into the garage he was about to call out Reki's name but stopped when he saw the look of concentration on the other male's face. There was something about that look followed by the determination to complete a project that Langa admired. Reki was good at what he did and he never failed to amaze him.

"It's for Koyomi," Reki said as he went back to sanding. "I gave her a board just to practice on but now that she's come this far I plan to surprise her with an official board of her own." Her birthday was coming up in a few weeks and he thought that this would be the perfect gift.

"Have you thought about telling your sister about S?" Langa suddenly questioned, causing Reki to stop what he was doing and look up at him. "If she is making great progress as you said, doesn't she deserve to at least know about it even if she doesn't participate?"

Reki let out a sigh as he set the sandpaper on the work table and gripped the board with both hands; looking down at it as he took Langa's question into consideration. It wasn't that he hadn't thought about the possibility of letting Koyomi know where he started sneaking off to during the night but he was holding back from doing so just yet. As fun as S was it could also be very dangerous so that was why he was encouraging her to keep skating every day so that she could be ready for him to bring her along with him one night. Funny how he hasn't brought his sister to Crazy Rock when she's had plenty of experience so far and here when he let Langa tag along the dude duct-taped his feet to the board so he wouldn't fall off. It still baffled him when he thought about how he won against Shadow that way.
