He yawned tiredly, as he got up from his bed and started to exit his room. Nick and Judy had decided to share an apartment after quickly becoming the best of friends.
It was not awkward, though Judy had confessed she had developed feelings for Nick, but was quickly shut down when she was informed he did not feel the same.
Judy was in the kitchen, looking fresh and ready for work, silently reading and eating a bagel.
Nick groaned loudly as he came into the kitchen. 'I forgot about work' he thought to himself, as he combed a hand through his ears.
"You forgot about work." Judy said, calmly. Nick nodded. And sat down at the kitchen table. Judy smiled at her work partner.
"We should leave in about 30 minutes, you still have time." She commented. He groaned again.
"I rather not go to work anymore." It was trilling, but most of the time it was just a lot of waiting. And though the night howlers case was kinda fun, they hadn't had another one of those in a few months.
"You can't miss, it would be the third time this month. Chief wouldn't be happy." Judy said smugly. "Plus who's gonna help me if you aren't there?"
Nick sighed, and then smiled at his bunny companion. "You're right, who else will help my dumb little buny." He said jokingly. The rabbit rolled her eyes as she drank the orange juice she had poured earlier.

It was loud. VERY loud. The fox had grown accustomed to loud sounds. Knowing a lot of people put you in a lot of different places, most of which were loud, but he always preferred the quiet.
Judy had left early and he had to take public transportation which was not what he preferred but oh well, this morning was already a bust.
And when he got to the CPD he was having a hard time finding traffic. Apparently the mayor had come and paid them a visit, which made it impossible for him to ever get through the front door.
Once he was in he decided to just head straight to his office. Sure, he liked the mayor, liked the fact that the predator movement was slowly becoming more and more visible.
But in here it was still a prey world, and no mater how much he wanted to, he couldn't just go up and talk to the mayor, it would be unethical, even if she was a fox.
Sitting down at his desk with a groan, he turned on his computer, and scrolled mindlessly through various cases.
After him and Judy had cracked the case about the night howlers Chief Bogo had allowed them to freely roam the cases, meaning they could look into any cases they wanted and find clues since they were so good at that.
It had worked out very well so far, but right now his mind was not working correctly. He really shouldn't have stayed up all night watching My little pony. Yes, My little pony. But the episodes are just to addicting.
He got up suddenly and started to leave his office, heading to the lounge for a coffee, always woke him up enough but never made him to hyper.
Walking in it was very quiet. Most of the employees had a silent agreement in place that they would not talk for the first few hours of the morning.
Nick quietly walked up to the coffee maker and started to make his coffee. After he was done, he quietly sipped it in the corner, before quietly exiting and heading back to his office.
Loooking back at the front door, he realized the mayor was still there. It intrigued him why she would be there anyways, made more sense to go to an important event of something, he thought.
But he shrugged it off. Sipping his coffee and looking at the screen made him zoom out, he was not getting anything done at this rate, and before he knew it, and hour had passed.
He sighed and got up, walking towards his partner's direction to see if she had better luck.
He walked up to her office, but the door was closed. That was not normal, usually she kept it open to invite people in.
He thought that maybe another perosn was with her, and just closed it. He slowly turned the knob and pushed the door open a bit.
"Omg you're right Moe, Gosh you're a genius." He recognized the voice as his beloved bunny, but then another voice followed.
"Ehh, I try." It said. Nick furrowed his brows, that voice filled him with nostalgia for some reason, but he couldn't quite pinpoint it.
Finally he came into the room fully. He noticed Judy and another chair next to her looking at papers on a desk.
"What's all the fuse about?" He asked. Judy turned in her chair excitedly, holding a stack of papers.
"Nick! Remember her case we were trying to figure out about the poisoning?" The bunny asked. Nick recalled in his mind what Judy was talking about.
"Yeah, what about it?" He asked calmly. He likes to play with her, learned all the little faces she would make when she was excited, and it was fun.
"The new officer Moe just solved it." Judy said. That made Nick stop. Moe.
By Moe she couldn't have meant his Moe, he thought in his head. Shaking off any ideas and filing them with fake reassurance.
But all of that went to hell when the man in the other chair turned around.
It was his Moe, and he was here, in Judy's office. He. Was. A. New. Officer.
Nick stared at him, though hidden a little so that Judy wouldn't suspect anything. He said a few things, the wolf answered, honestly he couldn't remember, but while he was watching the wolf he saw his tail wagging.
It made him erupt in blush, he muttered out a quick excuse, and left for his office. His mind was confused, Moe was never one to work with the law. Why would he do it now? Right when everything was perfect. Why now?
