Toya POV
*
Here we are. Back in New York. So much is going on it's just crazy. I have Jaheem so maybe things won't be as bad this time around. "I'm going to my parent's house okay?" he looked at me from the corner of his eye. I just hummed a reply. He sighed. He's been trying to figure out what's wrong with me since I left the trap.
"Where the hell did you go?" Mama Nessa smacked Jaheem in the head.
"Damn ma," he whined. I chuckled. "I had to take care of mines."
"Toya?" it's funny she automatically knew he's talking about me. "What's going on?"
"Some people are plotting against her and she's only safe if she's up here."
"Well do you know who it is?"
"I have a guess but it's not much."
"A guess is enough. You don't want anything to happen to her right?" I zoned them out. I kept thinking about Rashid. You know I still got love for you right? I don't care about that nigga you with. I'm not letting you go without a fight." Why did he have to say that? Just when I was beginning to-
"Toya," Jaheem shook me.
"Huh?" he looked at me weirdly.
"Are you sure you're okay?" I don't want to lie to Jaheem but I don't want him and Rashid to be fighting all the time.
"Just worried," it's not a lie. I don't want anyone going through what I did four or five years ago.
"Don't worry Toya," Mama Nessa hugged me. "We won't let anything happen to you."
I smiled. "Thanks Mama." we talked for a while before we left. "So what now?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, what's going to happen now? What am I going to do? You're going to be running things and I don't exactly have friends up here. I'm going to be all by myself. And what about my car?"
"Calm down bae," he stroked my hand. "You're not going to be by yourself. Trust me. Next week my family is coming down for a celebration. Most of them are cool and they'll love to meet you. You'll meet someone you like. I already have someone in mind but I won't tell you who. And your car? You can drive any of mines. Or if you want your car I'll get it up here for you. Nothing but the best for you." I blushed. I know I said three weeks but this boy has already proven to me what I needed to know. Once we stopped at a red light I turned to face him. I brought his face to mines and kissed him.
He was taken back but kissed me still. We kissed until the cars behind us started honking. I pulled away a little embarrassed. "What was that for?" he started driving again.
"That was my answer."
He looked at me for a second and then back at the road. "You serious? I thought I had three weeks."
"Three weeks wouldn't make a difference. I want to be happy and I'm happy with you." He smiled and kissed my hand. I'd like to say I made the right choice.
Jaheem POV

I'm happy she decided to give me a chance but I'm having doubts. What did this fuck nigga say to her? She keeps spacing out and shit. And now out the blue she's down to be with me.
"You sure you wanna do this? Being a mafia queen is different from dating a thug. A lot more drama and trouble."
"I know that. I can handle it."
"Oh really?"
"Yes really," she said sassily. "I dated a kingpin. Not much of a difference." I took a right where I'm supposed to go straight home. "Where are we going?"
"We're going to see if you're really up for this life." I pulled up to one of the trap houses. We got out and headed inside.
"Wassup man?" Amir came up to us. "You back huh? Quick visit?"
"We just had to get some shit together."
"Iight so what y'all doing here?"
"We're gonna see if she's made for this thug life." He smirked. I hope Toya doesn't hate me after this but I need to make sure she's ready for this. She thinks dating a kingpin is the same as being in the mafia when it's not. There's a lot more stuff to it then hiding drugs.

"Damn she tough as hell," Alex commented. I have to agree with him. Toya doesn't look like a fighter but she sure can hold her own. "I think she broke Lace jaw."
"I'm pretty sure she did," Amir said looking at the blood going down his jaw. "Chris ain't even did some shit like that."
"Is that it?" Toya was a little bruised and her hand was swelling up a bit.
"For today, since you're hurt. We'll pick up another time."
"You did good tho," Alex said. "Remind me to never fuck with you the wrong way."
She started laughing. "I wouldn't hurt y'all. Mike is another story." We laughed at her. Toya fits better into the group than Chris did. "Sorry about your jaw," she told Lace.
"No problem, comes with the job." You could barely understand him. Everyone left to go get checked out.
"I think I'm gonna like this," Toya smiled. We were the only ones left.
"Like what?" I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Like being with you." That made me blush. "Awe I can still make you blush," she teased. When we were with Joe she used to make me blush all the time just by smiling at me. I guess it came back.
"Shut up," I playfully pushed her. "I'm gonna be here a while. You wanna stay and hang out?"
"Yeah." She grabbed my hand and we started going back upstairs.
Sorry for the wait but for now on this book will have my full attention. It's gonna look kind of rushed because a lot is gonna happen before I get another form of writers block. Vote comment share and follow.
