Guess who's back with updating Toya's sequel!!! I'm officially going to make it a goal to try and update at least twice a week if not more. I finally have an idea of where I'm going to take this book. The hard thing is getting from point A to point B. As I'm updating this book I'll be publishing another. Title and book cover subject to change on that one though. Thanks babes!
Toya POV
Oh lord please give me the strength to get on this plane. I'm so fuckin terrified to step foot on this damn death trap. Jaheem got me in first class. Shit nice as hell. My ass grippin the damn sides and railing and shit. I wanna get off this plane so damn bad right now. I've seen snakes on a plane nigga I ain't stupid.
"So how many times they done fly this plane?" I asked the flight attendent. I'm so damn paranoid it's not even funny. Why New York? Why so far away?
"Ma'am this plane is perfectly fine."
"No snakes right?" she looked at me crazy. I don't give a fuck. Black folk ain't supposed to be flyin and shit. Especially my scary ass.
"No."
"Can I get something to drink?" she went to do it. I was mentally talkin to myself trying to calm myself down. It was raining hard as hell right now. Lord if lightening hit this plane I repent all my sins in the name of your son and our savior. If this ain't you lord please pass the message along Budda, Zeus, Mercury, Joseph or whoever. I ain't tryna go out like this.
"Here you go ma'am." She gave me something. I drank it and asked for another. I need to calm my nerves. The pilot's voice came on telling us all the safety precautions and blah blah blah. I felt the plane shaking and I gripped whoever was sitting next to me. The plane started moving and I felt a little turbulance which could've been the plane come crashing down for all I know. I was scared as fuck.
"Sorry," I apologized to the man once everything seemed normal. I had his arm in a death grip. He was kind of cute with his pretty green eyes.
"No problem," he smiled at me. The woman next to him was glaring at me. I then noticed the engagement band on his finger. Oh shit, excuse the hell out of me. "First time flying?"
"That obvious?"
"First time is always the worst. I'm Chet," I shook his hand.
"Toya." I went to shake his fiancé's hand. But she just glared at me. Shit fuck you too then. I saw him grip her arm.
"Sandy," she fake smiled. I saw nothing but fear in her eyes as she looked at him. I know that look. Ole boy one of the crazy folk. I ain't stickin my nose where it shouldn't be but as I looked at her I felt sorry for her.
"Here's your drink," the girl came back to give me my drink. Thank god my nerves are killin me. I had about four drinks before stopping. I'll be damned if I get drunk on this plane.
"Excuse me," Chet got up and went to the restroom.
"Hey," I looked at Sandy. "You shouldn't have to be scared of him. If he's doing you wrong you need to leave."
"You need to mind your business," she snapped.
"I'm tryin to help you out. You're too pretty to let some guy bruise you up. Trust me. Don't let him dominate you boo. You deserve so much more." She had tears in her eyes. I passed her my number. "If you ever need something call me. I don't care if you don't know me or whatever. No one deserves to have some ass hole put their hands on them." Her 'fiancé' came back smiling at me. I smiled back then put in my headphones. Lord let this plane ride go by fast.
