It was while he was doing the cleaning when Alfred noticed the absence of his precious Master Wayne.
He thought Bruce was taking a nap in his room. But he couldn't find him there. So he went to the next obvious place -His study.
Alfred was shocked to see an empty bottle of champagne on Bruce's study table. He saw the open entrance to the Batcave and a shiver run down his spine.
Master Bruce...
It was only 9 pm and there was still an hour left for the usual patrol time to begin. Alfred seriously hoped he was worrying for nothing.
He carefully walked down the staircase, and he honestly hated what he saw down in the cave.
Bruce's pants were lying on the floor and his shirt was hanging from the edge of one of the huge bat-computers. Alfred saw that several papers were on the floor and felt bile raise to his throat when he saw that the Batmobile was gone, too.
Assuming the worst, Alfred sat infront of the computers and started to try and communicate Bruce. When he was met with static, he decided to look up the Surviellence cams and see what his dear boy was upto.
What Alfred saw shocked him.
The Batmobile screeched through the streets of Gotham, causing everyone in the way to yell and shriek. Some music, which wasn't necessarily calm, was playing at a volume that could make you permanently deaf.
Alfred sat there, wondering what to do. Sure, he was going to chew out his stubborn Master when he's back from his... Adventure. But that was if he makes it back alive. From the way Bruce was driving, Alfred wasn't sure how probable his death was.
He had to think fast. Then it struck him. The only person he could rely on right now. Superman.
Without wasting another moment, Alfred contacted the geeky reporter.
