Bruce opened his eyes and was blinded by a white light. He lifted his arms to cover his eyes and felt a tugging at his arm. He groaned. His whole body ached. But worse, his head felt like it was gonna explode. He had a throbbing headache.
"Stop moving, Master Bruce" Alfred said and Bruce turned his head to see his butler standing beside him with a grim expression.
"What happened?" He asked as he tried to remember. He remembered grieving over his life. He remember drinking. He remember going out on-- Shit.
Bruce set his lips in a thin line and looked at Alfred in an awkward way. Alfred had one of his eyebrows raised. He shook his head with a sigh. The sigh of disappointment that could bring even the Batman to his knees.
"If it wasn't for Master Kent, I would have lost you forever, Master Bruce. Please don't do something so ridiculous again, Sir. I have already buried enough Waynes" Alfred said as he walked out of the room with a grim look on his face.
Damn, he is pissed.
Bruce turned his head when he heard someone clearing their throat and noticed Clark for the first time since he woke up.
Clark looked at him in a way that screamed disappointment and... Amusement?
"What?" Bruce snapped.
"I've never seen you being so..." Clark chuckled "It was quiet entertaining to watch"
"Shut up, Clark"
"But seriously, you never told me made your own... Theme song"
"What?" Bruce honestly didn't know what Clark was talking about. Atleast, he could not remember.
"Ooh, I gotta hurry. Unlike you, I work for a living" Clark said as he walked out.
"My money doesn't fall from the sky, Clark" Bruce called out and an infectious laughter rang throughout the manor's hallways.
Bruce couldn't help, but smile.
But... What was he talking about? A theme song?
Bruce's head hurt from trying to remember what he's done.
After a few minutes of trying hard to sleep, he finally drifted off.
