the tender pink glow of
the rising sun over calming waves
the lake after a storm on summer days
the soft fluffy clumps of snow

holds up a sky she'll never see
even when her spine crumbles
and her knees buckle
she will smile
knowing that
we were always together
and 'til the end of ends
we will always be
