"Oh...my...gosh... Mom, dad are you serious? Because if your joking this isn't funny." I said very excited. "Savannah of course we're serious. Why would we joke about something like this?" My mom said. "Oh my gosh this is to good to be true" I said. My dad chuckled at me. "Well honey, it is true." My dad said. "Wow we are moving to California! How is this even possible? I mean wow." I said. "Your father was offered a job at a sales representative for that area and this job could lead to an even bigger promotion." My mother explained. "WOOOHHHH!!! Oh my gosh I'm so excited! When do we leave?" I asked. "Well we already have a house so as soon as we pack." My dad said. "Oh my gosh! I can't wait to see Brooklyn again."
Flashback
"Brookie do you really have to go to Orange County? Just stay here and love with me." I told Brook. "I'm sorry Savvy, I wish I could stay. I'm going miss you so much. I don't even know how I'll survive." Brook said. "Were gonna talk on the phone every night, right?" I asked. "Sure, and don't forget instant messaging after midnight." Brook said. I did one of those girly girl laughs. "Yeah." I said. "You'll have to come visit me Savvy. I'm probably not going to fit in. Their sending me to some uptight school called The Orange County Day school, they put the day in there as if it wasn't obvious enough that school is during the day." Brook said. "Orange County Day that shortens out to be OCD. Obsessive compolsive disorder, as if their all obsessively composibly uptight." I said. "You got that right. What if I'm not going to be glamorous enough." Brook said in one of those I'm worried voices. "Of course you will be glamorous enough Brookie. You'll fit in right away." I said. "You really think so?" Brook said. "Of course!" I said. "Brooklyn it's time to go." Brooks mom told her. "Well... I guess this is it... bye Savvy." Brook said in one of those I don't wanna leave voices. "Bye Brookie, you'll be my bffl forever." I said. "Best friends for life forever." Brook said and then ran off.
"I thought you said you guys hadn't talked for a while and that she hasn't been returning your emails or phone calls." My mom said. "Well yeah but maybe she's just going through a rough time or her email is full or her computer broke or something." I said. "Savannah, don't you find that a little bit odd that she hasn't talked to you?" My mom asked. "Mom really, me and Brook are bffl's, best friends for life." I said. "Ok." My mom said. "So what school am I going to?" I asked. "Well The Orange County Day school seems like a great school." My dad said. "Oh that's great! That's the same school Brooklyn goes to. This is going to be the start of my new life." I said. "New life? Since when do new lives start at 16?" My mom asked. "Since always mom, and it's going to be amazing." I explained.
One week later
I rushed around my room looking for the perfect outfit to wear for my first day. "Savannah it's time to go, are you ready?" My mom asked. "I'm coming mom." I said. I did a long breath out... "Today me and Brooklyn get to see each other and become bffl's again. Just like how it used to be." I thought to myself and then ran to the car.
"Wow that's my school, it even bigger than I imagined." I said. "Yeah its pretty big. Oh Savannah you look gorgeous. Your going to fit right in with all the other girls." My mom said. "Wow do you really think so? I don't look to off? Mom I haven't even been in a real school before. Is a public school differentfrom home school?" I asked. "Well sure it's different honey, but you'll be okay. You read the student hand book, right?" My mom said. "Yeah...twice... they just seem so...uptight..." I said. "Oh don't worry about it love. I'm sure it won't be that bad." My mom said. I did a loud sigh. "Okkaayy... well I guess I should get going." I said. "You want me to come it?" My mom asked. "Uhh... thanks mom but I think I'll be okay." I said. "Okay." My mom said. She went in the car. "I'll be back to puck you up at 3 okay." My mom said. "Okay mom, bye love you." I said then ran off. "Love you too honey." My mom shouted back.
"Wow...uhh... I guess I'll just start walking." I said to myself. "Hey nice glasses." Some random guy said. "Oh, why thank you!" I said back. "I wasn't serious." He said laughing with his friends. "Um... okay..." I said and started walking. "Oh wait I'm going the wrong way. I need to go into the office building." I said to myself and walked the other way. "Hello sweetheart, what can I do for you?" A nice lady said. "Oh uh... I'm new here my name is Savannah Reed." I explained. "Oh right Savannah, I have your papers right here. There's your map and your schedule, and here is your new student slip because you might be late to a few of your classes if you get lost." She said. "Okay thank you." I said and took the papers off the desk. "Oh and your locker number and combination is also written on your schedule, okay? Your locker is on the first floor." She said. "Okay thank you." I said and walked out of the office. "Hum... I wonder if Brooklyn is around here." I said to myself. A random guy on a skateboard hots me and knocks my papers out of my hands. "Sorry." He said skating away. Those three guys who made fum of my glasses started laughing at me. "Oh great." I said to myself. Some random girl walked up to me. "Hi are you new here?" She asked. "Ha is it that obvious?" I asked. "Well a little, but hey its ok. I'm Angilena Davis but you can call me Angi or Lina or whatever. Just don't call me Angel I hate that." Angilena explained. "Hi Lina, I'm Savannah Reed, but you can call me Savvy or Sav whatever." I said. "Well its nice to meet you Savvy. Do you need some help around?" Angilena asked. "Oh my gosh, yes please! What dose all of this even mean?" I said. "Um... oh your locker is right beside to mine and my friend's." Angilena explained. "Really? Oh that's great." I said. "Here I'll show you. Follow me." Angilena said.
I followed Angilena for a reward minutes. "Wow, this place is amazing." I said. "Ha hardly. So are you new here or something?" Angilena asked. "Yeah from Montana. I was home schooled." I explained. "Oh so I guess you've never been to a real school before have you?" Angilena asked. "No, I haven't." I said back. "Don't worrie, we'll teach you all that you need to know." Angilena said wail taking a few steps back to her friend. "Savvy this is Geneve Ryan or commonly known as Genny. Genny, this is Savannah Reed or more commonly known as Savvy." Angilena explained. "Hi Genny!" I said. "Hi Savvy! Are you new here?" Genny asked. "Well I guess it's really obvious, yeah I am." I said. "Well welcome to OCD, where everyone is obsessive and compolsive. It's nice to meet you." Genny said. "Thanks, it's nice to meet you too." I said. "So Savvy here's your locker." Angilena said. "Oh." Genny said and took a few steps back. "Awesome, thank you so much." I said. "So what's your first class?" Genny asked. "Ap English with Mr.Berk." I said. "Hey awesome me too." Genny said happily. "You guys are lucky I got math with Ms.Sova uhhh." Angilena said. "Sorry... she's kinda creepy." Genny said. "Yeah she talks so quietly it's almost a whisper. You can't even hear anything she says and if you dare to interpret her she just stares at you. She Dosent say anything she just stares." Angilena explained. "That's hilarious. When dose class start anyway?" I asked. "The bell rings at nine so in about five minutes." Angilena explained. "Ok cool." I said. I looked around the room and found the cutest guy ever, I just had to ask. "How is he?" I asked. "Ah I new that one was coming, the collie? Yeah that's Sage Bond." Angilena said. "Yeah he's captain of the football team and a jock and a hottie professional. But dont waste your time, he's taken." Genny explained. "Ah figures. Hey do you guys know anyone Brook?" I asked. "Incoming barbie dolls! Incoming barbie dolls! Act natural and do not make direct eye contact." Angilena said. "Barbie dolls? what?" I asked confused. "Yup that's their names." Genny said. "Who are they?" I asked. "They are Rachel Revara and Alicia Hemaltion. The couple of meanest and most popular girls in school. They act nice at first but they are really cats inside." Angilena explained. "Wait what? Their cats?" I asked. "Oh no its a joke but they act like cats like they have cat fights and drama like a cat. Oh great, here comes the none other than the biggest barbie doll herself." Angilena said. Everybody gasped as she walked down the hallway walking towards Sage.
