joshua is a traveler; a person who takes pleasure in exploring and going on trips that could last for days. he's the type of person who would receive freedom very easily. the type of person who doesn't do any effort to pursue happiness. he can do anything and everything to his heart's content without anyone or anything getting on his way.

he's rich after all; that's everything. he gets to have almost anything he wants with his parents wealth.

after graduating college a year ago, he didn't look for a job or something for a living, but instead did the thing that he had been wanting to do since he was a kid; travelling.

and on that very day, already marked almost half a year of him travelling without even getting tired of it.

that's his liking after all. no one would be bored with things that they love and cherish.

"thank you.", he gave the cashier of the stop over convenience store a smile, grabbing the plastic bag that contained the things that he bought.

he bowed to the cashier to take his leave, but the corner of his eyes were caught by a lady that looked about his age, looking so gloomy with her dull look.

"good morning.", she greeted in the most dead tone. she said good morning but it doesn't seem like her's was.

she was just waiting patiently for the cashier to finish scanning what she got, however, her eyes landed on a pair of shoes, and slowly, she started glancing up to meet his face.

joshua, unbeknownst, was still there. he wasn't really the type to care about other people's business but this lady had seem to gain his attention. he just couldn't believe that a person can be sullen and look as devastated as her.

their eyes got in contact; she just soulessly stared at him the whole time, while he managed to pull out a slight smile after a matter of seconds, but it instantly subsided when she sighed and looked elsewhere.

yes, he felt dumbfounded and it took him, seriously, by surprise. he blinked his eyes, his mind wanting to go out, but, his body wasn't moving an inch, it seemed like his soles were glued on the floor.

"how much is it?", when he heard her say, it sounded like a snap of a finger right in front his face. he finally could move and was able to take a couple of steps back.

he was quite anxious that their eyes will meet again after embarrassing himself to her just now.

he turned around and paved his way to the glass door before opening it and shown himself out. he went inside his car, yet his plan on starting the engine disappeared like it was nothing when his mind was dominated by the thought of that lady.

can a person really be that cold?  he thought to himself as he unconsciously looked back to look inside the convenience store, inside where she was.

he made himself believe that it wasn't because of her that he looked back, but it was obvious when an evident frown was drawn on his face the moment he have come to realize that, that cold looking lady wasn't there anymore.

in search for a sullen looking lady through the glass pane of the convenience store, probably was a terrible idea, yet he already failed before he could even realize that it was truly a terrible idea.

he heaved a sigh as soon as he looked back infront, in clear disappointment. yet at some point, he just started the engine and went on to continue what he originally came there for, to his destination.
