who knew that getting on a stranger's car could lead to something as much as a kiss under the star-filled night sky?

she didn't expect to meet someone, nor even get to know someone and spend a whole trip day with them, yet there he was, reassuring her about his confession and making her feel all sorts of feelings which could almost lead her to her delirium.

she gulped in a quick but exceeding way as soon as their lips parted.

the uneasiness and anxious feeling only came into her right after their kiss separated which was also the time when she could comprehended that such did happen; and she admit, he was a great kisser and that fact highly contributed to the post-kiss nervousness.

joshua gave her a smile, the most comforting one that she has ever seen from him. "it's twelve already.", he said, and that brought her into a slight confusion.

"how—uh—how did you know?"

she didn't care about wherever did he know the time from or even whatever the time was, she was just muddled over the fact that he just out of a sudden told her the current time, which was actually odd, and considering that they had just shared a kiss.

"I. . I took a glimpse at—", he, quite uneasy, brought his wrist up, showing his watch. "at my watch.", he continued.

"oh. .uhm. .yeah, I guess it's. .uh. . already the next day.", she tried to amend the atmosphere by ending her sentence cheerfully, yet failed miserably when the awkwardness just wouldn't leave her which made her end up in a stiffened smile.

she felt awkward, and he did too, she was antsy, and he was too, he didn't know how to act like, and she most especially did not too, all because of their first kiss.

"if you're tired—"

"I'm not.", she instantly replied, even without joshua finishing his sentence. "I mean, we're still going to stargaze, right?", she bit the inside of her lower lip.

he couldn't help but to let out a chuckle. frankly, there were so many emotions building up in him and all he knew was that it was all because of her. "we've been doing that the whole time."

"oh. .", she tend her eyes downward.

‘I just really don't want this night to be over.’, she thought to herself. by all means, she wanted that moment to last forever.

his forefinger went to her chin as he slowly raised it so she could look up, and eventually bringing his hand back to him. he stood up, and her eyes wouldn't leave him whilst he did.

"where are you going?", she asked, and she couldn't help herself but to think that he was going in his car to sleep.

"you mean we.", a sweet beam crawled its way up to his face. "let's go closer to the water."

he received a big smile for an answer, and it seemed as if his every ideas were sweet words for her.

he offered his hand, and she delightfully held it as she stood up to follow him to a spot where there's still just the both of them.

the moon and the numerous stars looked extra prettier at the coast. she felt as if it was a dream, the enchanting night and the guy she has fallen in love with.

she didn't know whatever worthy did she do, but at that moment and to everything that had happen the whole day,  she felt like the luckiest person.

she slowly tend her eyes to him who was looking at the night sky, and for awhile, she admired him quietly. she felt so lost staring at him from that close.

"can you see that?", it was a moment of getting back to her senses when he spoke, pointing at a certain group of stars. she followed where his index finger was pointing at.

with the will to show her the constellation, he moved closer to her, making their bodies touch even more and it left her slightly disoriented.

"you see that constellation that is forming a double u, that's the Cassiopeia.", he uttered, and all she could do was to nod subconsciously. "do you see the constellation below it?"

she squinted her eyes to spot the exact group of stars where he was pertaining to, and became excited when she successfully did. "yes, I see it now."

joshua snickered, but she didn't really had the chance to notice it as her full attention was on that certain constellation.

"it's called the Perseus.", he said, and it made her nod her head with her lips forming into an ‘o’. "it was said that when Perseus was flying by, he noticed Andromeda and immediately fell in love with her.", he added.

she diverted her eyes to him with an amused look. "really?"

joshua nodded his head in agreement with a hum. "but, you know what, at that time, Andromeda was chained to a sea cliff to be devoured by a sea monster as a sacrifice."

Perseus found Andromeda when she was at her worst, she thought.

"Did he rescue her?", she questioned, and the smile that he gave to her became a reassurance, that like how joshua saved her when she was at her lowest, Perseus did the same to Andromeda.
