Sadness is a treasure marked by a dripping tear upon the sands of nostalgia; a memory of a memory saturating the buried face that is held in the hands of phenomenology. Sadness spills itself upon our lives; washing us, releasing us from the everyday inhumanity within us. It is knowing that we will never again behold the tender moments of our lives because they were never meant to last. But that's ok, it is in sadness that we remember that we loved and still love, even though and especially because, the moment is gone.

To know sadness is to also know happiness; that beautiful heartbeat pressing against us, together pumping life into our veins by just being; by just breathing. Filling the room with the smell of jouissance, filling the soul with the body. Collecting the moments of our lives that are worth more than everything else and to hold them and be held by them when all is lost.

Sadness is a hug like no other; an embrace that helps us climb toward a new dawn in our lives.
