When she got home there wasn't as much celebrating as you think. Her sister, Mira, and her dad, Kayden, tried to be happy and celebrate, but as soon as Zoe saw her mother she shamed both of them for trying. Her mother, Hope, was lying on the couch with almost no life in her. She was just lying on the couch semiconscious. Zoe flew to her mothers side. She fell down to her knees. Her hands gripped her mothers weak ones.

"What happened?!" She cried

"We don't know," her dad admitted quietly, "I was at work and your sister was at school, so we weren't here. When we came home your mother was like this."

Zoe straightened and stood up. She turned to her dad and asked, "so what now?"

"Dad just called a doctor, and they are on their way," Mira told her.

As if one cue, the doorbell rang. "That'll be the doctor," Zoe said as much to her dad and sister as to her self, "I'll get it."

When she got to the large wooded double door, she pulled one of the golden handles, and breathed in the fresh air. Waiting at the door was a short lady with curly and poofy brown hair. She was carrying a large black bag on her back, and she looked like she had just gotten out of bed.

"Good afternoon," the woman said sticking out her hand, "I'm Dr. Hayward. Where's the person I was told about?"

Zoe awkwardly shook the lady's outstretched hand and lead her back towards her mother.

"Oh no," the lady said and Zoe felt dread pull her to the ground, but she stood tall, "this is worse than I thought."
