There are many things that can be forgotten. And secrets can be kept out of the public eye. One such secret being the tale of the battle between All for One and One for All, however this world harbors a secret from even longer in the past. Ages ago, the people living in the world were Shinobi. Ninjas, capable of doing amazing things with an energy called chakra. In this time period was when the Tale of Naruto Uzumaki took place, and when the three legendary sannin were some of the most revered ninjas in the land. However the shinobi culture was eventually lost to time. Along with the secrets about chakra, all that's left is the occasional person born with a “quirk” giving them characteristics of a slug, a toad, or a serpent. Each being the beast of each respective sannin. Despite the age being long passed, one sannin still lived, after finally finding how to cheat death. The sannin was Orochimaru, a man who controlled snakes. He can be seen standing  before a boy who also sported bleach white skin and snake-like features like himself, Y/n.

Orochimaru: Why hello young one.

The boy was skinny and frail, obviously alone and not well taken care of. And weakly looked up to the sage. While looking at him, Orochimaru thinks back to his former student, Kabuto. Kabuto had used the teachings from Orochimaru and became his own person, passing on the snake sage abilities to his descendants, as it altered his DNA. Orochimaru looks at the weak boy a bit longer before extending his hand to him.

Orochimaru: Come with me, I can get you food and a bed.

Reluctant but desperate, the boy took the man's hand, observing the resemblances that they both shared. And thus was the day that y/n was adopted by Orochimaru. And he would live with him for the years to come.
