In the deep, with the brine flowing past  her limbs, there is freedom. The sea has so many secrets, so many stories yet to tell and here she explores, admire the wonders and learn. Here her body has no weight that means anything, she can glide in any direction without fear of falling. This place, is so far from the ordinary world above, is the wonderland of her dreams.

So far down in the ocean, the sunlight is a soft diffuse glow. Those once golden raised from above are only blue in this water; and the diver she swims the less lite can penetrate. The rocks are now silhouettes in the deep. The farther from the surface the sun dies quicker than the heat from winter campfires. From time to time she is surprised by a loan fish as she swims to her new destination, it's cold, too cooler than she imagined it would be with the increased pressure. She begins to feel like the water is thicker than soup. She glances up towards the surface and her heart starts the race. She has never been this far down yet it's exciting all at once. Not once has she ever felt so free. Being away from the pod, her being away from the humans. All she wanted to do was escape and find shelter. A place to lie low and hide.

She keep her head where it needs to be, and continues to swim towards her new home. As time passes she becomes hungry and stops swimming to grab a bite to eat. Yes I know most tales say that the water spirits only eat humans. But that's not true. Well, yes it is but they mostly eat kelp and seaweed on the ocean floor. After getting her fill she swims off once again to her new home.

Days past and she finally made it. She slowly crept to the surface and blew out air and flicked her ears. Looking around she saw no one, so she deemed it safe to rise out of the water. Slowly she swam to the shoreline and emerged from the water. Her black coat gleamed in the moonlight. Her mane and tail wet and heavy with water. As she looks around she doesn't sense anything, so she shook off the remaining water and started moving towards the woods in search of a place to stay.
