Dave slowly opened his eyes and yawned, lifting his head off his... pillow? This wasn't his pillow, it was Bambi's head. His eyes widened and his thoughts brought him back to what even happened yesterday. Once he remembered, his face immediately started to flush. He didn't know this was going to happen, he didn't expect this to happen. He slowly backed away to the end of the couch, inching towards his wheelchair, hoping to not wake Bambi. But apparently, Bambi has some sort of super hearing because the second Dave's wheelchair made a slight squeak, his eyes jolted open. Bambi looked around a few times, looked at Dave about 2 times, looked down at himself and where he was, and... "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED??"
Both of their faces were red at this point, now knowing and remembering what happened. It was an awkward silence between both of them. Most of those 7 minutes were mostly just exchanging awkward and flushed glances at each other. Bambi then broke the silence by letting out a small chuckle. Dave looked at him, almost looking relieved as he broke the tension in that moment. "I don't even know how that happened." Bambi said, still looking down at the floor. Dave stared at him for a minute, and opened his mouth. He was about to say something, but hesitated. That feeling in his stomach had gotten even more noticeable after what just happened. "Y'know," Bambi started, "Even though I just, met you three days ago... I couldn't help but feel something, every time I was with you." Dave's eyes widened a bit, as that has been similarly happening to him too. "It's, like you feel something in your stomach, right?" Dave asked, hoping for a similarity about this. "Yeah." Bambi looked up at Dave, before remembering something, important. "MY CORN!" Bambi jumped off of the couch and ran towards the door, before stopping for a moment. He looked back at Dave, and made a hand movement on the side of his head and mouthed the words, call me. Bambi then dashed out the door, and suddenly, it was quiet. Dave slumped back down onto the couch, and stared out the window. Tristan still had a few hours before Dave needed to pick him up, so Dave didn't really have anything else to do right now. He wondered if Bambi was already at his farm. If he had gotten there safely, or if he was still on his way. He wondered what Bambi thought of what happened last night. Dave noticed something, Bambi was all he could think about right now.
Dave realized he hadn't eaten anything yet, but it was still early in the morning so he could wait a bit. He turned on his phone and was going to look at social media, until an urge overcame him to open his photo gallery to see that selfie they took the first time they met up. He went over to his gallery app and opened the most recent pictures. He tapped on the selfie and just stared at it. Or, in a more honest sense, at Bambi. After he snapped back to reality, he realized what he was doing and he felt his face heat up. Why am I doing this? I just met him a couple days ago. As Dave was stuck in his own thoughts about this, he got a message. Dave wasn't planning on opening at and dealing with what or whoever it was, until he glanced over at the message and it was from Bambi. He immediately reached over to grab for his phone, just as another message popped up.
<Bambi> hi dave
<Bambi> i wanted to ask you something
Dave couldn't imagine what he would want to ask him, as he isn't the type to start a conversation. Then he remembered what Bambi said to him right before he left for his farm; "Even though I just, met you three days ago... I couldn't help but feel something, every time I was with you." Dave got that feeling in his stomach again as he thought about what Bambi said again. He also noticed that he was talking with better grammar this time, not as he was when he first met him. "Who am I kidding I did just meet him." But something about him made it feel like they had known each other for years. As his mind started to trail back to reality, he remembered why he was thinking about this in the first place. His message. Dave was anxious to reply, as if you were about to find out if you were going to die or live. He opened up his message app and was looking straight at the keyboard of his phone. He didn't know why he was so nervous, he had talked to him before. Maybe it was because their conversation had a purpose this time. Dave was going to type up a grammatically correct response to what Bambi had said, but in the heat of the moment, the only thing his fingers would type and that his brain would allow, all he sent was, "?". Dave sighed. That was probably one of the most wimpiest things he had done.
