My American Nightmare (Cody Rhodes x reader)

Lossing streak

Cody and I arrived at raw ready to win our titles back. I was talking to Goldust and he said that he wants to go to the ring with us. We were the main event match so I had a little bit of free time. I walked around backstage and I saw Renee Young who was writing things down and I decided to go talk to her. "Hey Renee what are you doing." "Y/n exactly who I need. Can I ask you a favor?" "Yeah sure what's up?" "Well something came up with one of the people I was supposed to interview tonight and I need someone to interview in 10 min and I'm really stressed about it. So do you think I could interview you and Cody?" "Yeah of course I will go get Cody real quick." "Ok thanks Y/n you're a lifesaver." I went and told Cody what was going on and we quickly went to the interview spot just in time. "Please well come my guests. The fallen angels. So you guys have your rematch against the Usos tonight. What are your thoughts going into this match?" I spoke "Well Renee last week I wasn't there for my partner so it was basically a handicap match which was completely unfair. And Cody I'm so sorry about that. It was my fau- " Cody cuts me off. "Hey you have nothing to be sorry for. I was the one who lost our titles but tonight we will get them back." "Thank you Michael back to you." The camera cut and we left to get ready.

After getting ready I met up with Cody and Goldust in the gorilla. "Are you ready Y/n." Cody said. "Hell yeah babe let get back the gold!" I said excitedly. We went to the ring then the Usos came down and the match started. Cody and Jey started to push me off the side again after circling the ring but I ducked and Cody tried to go for the quick pin but it didn't work and Jey kicked out before 1 and super kicked Cody in the face. Cody made it to our corner and tagged me in. I ran at Jey and knocked him straight on the mat and kicked his midsection over and over again. I was pissed at him from last week. He managed to slide over to his brother and tagged him in. Jimmy ran at me and hit me with a clothesline. I got up and he hit me with another one. He keep on hitting me and kicking me. My ribs where in pain. As Jimmy was getting pumped I made my way to my corner and tagged in Cody then rolled to the outside of the ring to catch my breath for a few minutes. When I got up I saw Jimmy hit Cody with a splash and he pinned him. I ran to break it up but I was to late. The Usos won and walked away. I helped Cody up. He was upset. "Y/n I'm sorry I fucked up again." "No you didn't babe. You did your best." I gave him a hug and we went to the back.

Now I had thought that they just got us on a bad day but we lost our spark. The next week we faced the shield and we even had goldust on our team but we still came short. This streak kept happening. We couldn't stop losing. Cody kept blaming himself. I told him it wasn't his fault but he wouldn't listen to me or Goldust. Eventually we got to Payback and we were fighting The Wyatt family.(I know that's not who they fought irl I just needed a team of 3) We were in the gorilla and I look over at Cody. He use to ask me if we were going to win to see me get pumped up but resently he hasn't been doing that because we keep losing. "Hey babe come on I have a good feeling about this match. We got this." Cody gave me a smile"Alright baby let's go prove it." and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Ok lovebirds let's get going." Goldust said with a little giggle.

We went out then the Wyatt family came out. Honestly those guys creep the hell out of me but even so I still started the match and so did Luke Harper. (Rest in peace Brodie) Right off the bat he hit me with a running clothes line. He picked me up and through me in to the corner. He ran to spear me in the corner but I brought my legs up and hit him right in the chest that bought me enough time to tag in Goldust.

*Time skip*

It's been about 10 minutes. Goldust just tagged in Cody. Bray was also legal Cody was putting up a fight. The I felt a hand grab my leg. It was Rowan and he pulled my leg and Luke pulled Goldust leg causing us to fall. Cody got distracted by that and when he turned around he got hit with the Sister Abigail and just like that we lost again. The Wyatt family left and me and Goldust went into the ring with Cody

Cody grabbed a mic and said "Babe, brother brother... You guys need to get a better partner than me." And with that he just left the ring and Cody just left. Me and Goldust went back stage to try and find him but there was no luck. Our next best guess was he went home. Goldust went to his house and I went to my house. Cody wasn't in my house so I texted Goldust

No he's not here I'm sure he'll turn up soon

Let's hope he shows up to raw tomorrow night

I went to sleep that night feeling so lonely. I miss Cody already . Even Pixie seemed to miss him. Usual she falls asleep on him. I just have to pray he comes to raw tomorrow.

A/n wow this was the longest chapter I have wrote in any of my fanfics. Including the author notes it's 1061 words long. Anyway I hope you all have a good day or night ily <3
