"THEY DID WHAT!?"

"Well... they stole a carrier."

Ahsoka was sitting down on a somewhat crowded hover train, looking down at her holopad. The title read, 'CIS battlegroup takes major system and steals state of the art republic carrier.'  Ahsoka thought it was clickbait at first, but as she read it, she slowly started to realize that it wasn't clickbait.

Barriss was sitting beside her, looking over at Ahsoka's holopad. She never showed as much surprise as Ahsoka usually did, but this... this was something else.

Ahsoka: How did they even do it? It's been, what, a day?

Barriss: Well, it says that some ships were in orbit and fired at the battlegroup.

She says this while pointing at some of the text. Right under that paragraph, was a very low-resolution picture of one of the Paris classes. Not knowing what it looked like at all, the picture didn't help. But it gave them a basic idea of what it looked like.

Ahsoka: Only a hypervelocity cannon has that much range. Even then, the gas starts to die off and becomes far less effective. If those carriers are close to a kilometer long, there's no way a single impact-based shot can strip its engine out, especially if the shields are up.

Barriss didn't have a response. It was common knowledge that the effects of a laser, no matter how strong, could destroy a shield, but it couldn't get through it in a single shot. The shield had to be destroyed in order for the laser to go through. And the chances that those small ships each had a strong enough laser cannon to break a carrier was very low.

Barriss: Doesn't really matter what we speculate. In the end, they did it.

Ahsoka: Still... don't know how the CIS could do that.

Y/N: CIS did what now?

Y/N, who had taken off his helmet but was still in his armor, was standing somewhat close to them. Internally, he had been freaking out, as some of his favorite characters were sitting right in front of him, freaking out over something he did.

Ahsoka and Barriss both look at him, immediately assuming he was a bounty hunter because of the armor. Ahsoka wasn't the biggest fan of bounty hunters, as she knew that some of them captured her kind to be slaves. Barriss didn't really have that problem.

Barriss: A CIS fleet captured an entire system as well as a republic carrier.

Y/N: ... Hasn't it been a day since the war started?

Barriss: Roughly 17 hours.

Y/N: And how did they even capture one of those carriers? Lucky enough to see one of those things up close. Things got 8 duel turbolasers and some expensive-looking shields.

Ahsoka: You've seen those things up close?

Ahsoka's opinion had lifted slightly. She was a big fan of large starships. When the news of a new carrier came up, she wanted to see one up close so badly. And this guy would be her ticket for more information.

Y/N: Yeah. It's more carrier than anything else. Front armor probably isn't the best, but it's not a battleship. It's a good mix of both. Although the PD placement is questionable.

Barriss: PD?

Ahsoka/Y/N: Point defense.

Barriss wasn't very interested in ships. She was more of a reader than anything else. The most she knew ship-wise was the difference between a turbo and ion cannon, and that was it.

Ahsoka: What's wrong with the PD?

Y/N: Most is on the top near where the hanger doors are. Probably to cover the entrance and exit of fighters, but that leaves the bottom very vulnerable.
