Bruce had to suppress the tears that threatened to fall, but his eyes were to glossy.

"All you have to do is say it, and ill stay." You tell him but he doesn't say a word. "I don't want to leave you."

"Then don't." He says gruffly. You place your hand on his face and dig your finger under the cowl to tug his head down to yours.

"Me and you have shared everything, our identities, our secrets, our bodies. I love you so much Bruce Wayne but there is no reason for me to stay here in Gotham if you don't feel the same way." Bruce's lips separated softly, as if he wanted to say something but he didn't say anything.

She'll be safer away from you

"You're better off." He says and grabs your hand gently from his face and holds it. "I cant give you what you want, you told me you want kids, marriage-." But you spoke cutting him off.

"You think I give a damn, I just want you. I cant imagine my life that doesn't have you in it.

I cant imagine a life without you either

"Or you know we can just be the Bat and the Cat or just Y/n and Bruce."

"I cant protect you."

"I don't need your protection, I just need your love." You raised yourself on the balls of your feet to kiss him but he moved back. You felt a pang in your heart as he took a step back and let his eyes hit the concrete. "Ok." You turned around and took a deep breath, you began your decent to your bike while wiping your tears.

He watched as you got farther and farther away from him. His own bike was close to yours so be started his own path. He made it to his own and looked to the side to see you swing your legs over the bike and about to slip on the helmet. Bruce took a long deep, shuddering breath, he looked over at you and knew.

"Y/n I- please look at me." He says and looks at you, waiting. You looked at him and he saw the glossy eyes.

'What?"

"I love you."
