"Ameku-kun. Head up." The teacher commanded suddenly. The white haired boy, who's head was barely even dangling, shot up slightly. His eyes were half-lidded and his deadpan was far more expressively annoyed than usual.
Giving Mikey his phone number was a mistake. Not while texting of course, but the consequences of it. They ended up staying up until three in the morning talking about everything and anything that came across their minds, and of course the more tired they got the more out of pocket their conversations got.
He loved it in the moment, he felt like he could tell Mikey anything. He blabbered about his affinity for crows and how he'd trained them in elementary school, about how he got into fights a lot because of his snarky comments, and later in the night he even brought up some far more personal stuff when Mikey assured him it was okay and he'd do the same.
So the topic of brothers came and went, and so did the topic of losing yourself. The conversation would get deep, change to something random about one thing or another and then get deep again. By three in the morning their voices were raw and eyes red, and they felt like they'd known each other for far longer than they had. It was the sort of relationship that just clicked.
But this meant four hours later when Matsuo had to get up for school, he wasn't necessarily in a bad mood but he was far from enthusiastic about existing outside of his room. Alas, he would anyway. He was a quiet student, but a good one.
"Sorry sensei." He apologized, his voice a bit thicker than usual. He gazed at the board, hardly processing the "It's fine" his teacher excused him with. He continued that class without issue, and same with the next three until a a blonde with matching slightly pinkened eyes shoved the door open in the middle of Japanese Lit.
Kiyomasa, respectfully, looked like he was about to shit himself when Mikey walked in. Matsuo just looked over in curiosity as Mikey walked right to him with Draken waiting by the door.
"C'mon Matsu-chin!" Mikey smiled. Matsu looked over at his teacher as if for permission. The teacher looked a little exasperated but not by much.
"Go ahead, you probably studied the material ahead" She sighed and Matsuo let out a low chuckle as he stood and grabbed his bag.
"You know I can't help myself. A boy's gotta learn one way or the other"
