Sun/Moon with Mute child reader

The Daycare was loud just like it always was. You, not wanting much to do with the other children sat next to Moon at the craft table colouring a picture you had planned on giving to your Mum, while Sun played with the children somewhere in the daycare.

The thing was you were a bit different to other children. You were mute. Meaning you didn’t talk. Many children in the daycare thought you were weird for not talking but you didn’t take much notice.

Sun and Moon were also very supportive with you, teaching you how to write and use sign language to communicate with them. You being mute didn’t bother them at all seeing as how they had multiple children who had different conditions come in to the daycare all the time.

You had almost finished the drawing you were working on but it needed something. You look across the table to see glitter glue and stickers. You look up at Moon and gently tap his arms he turns to face you before asking.

“Whats the matter little Star" you look across the table to where the items to your desire sat. And signed asking if you could use them. A smile appeared on Moons faceplate as he nodded.

“You don’t need to ask if you can use that litte Star. Its put out for a reason, your more than welcome to use it" A smile appears on your face as Moon reaches across and places the items in front of you. And it wasnt long before you had finally finished it.

‘I’ll be back, I’m going to put this in my bag and go to the toilet" you sign to Moon as you stand up.

“Thats fine with me Starlight, I’ll be here waiting for when you return” Moons answers before turning back to his paper.

You walk over to your bag and place your drawing on top before looking through your bag. You pull out a Sun plushy out a second later and give it a squeeze.

This was your favourite comfort toy and you soon hoped your mother would get your Moon one to have the pair.

After placing the toy back into your bag you head over to the bathrooms to do your business and wash the glitter off your hands.

However after returning from your little trip you see that your bag and your belongings had been thrown on the floor. Your drawing and plushy missing from your bag

You look around frantic for signs of who might have taken it, and then you saw it. Some kids that constantly annoy you looked at you with smirked faces as they held your possessions.

These kids were constantly bullying you over being mute. But never had they taken your things before. And the fact that they had taken your comfort plushy made you very angry.

You begin to walk after the group as they begin to run towards the brown castle towers at the front of the daycare. But your brave demeanour quickly disappeared as the group suddenly surrounded you.

“Looks like your trapped now you little mute freak, do we have something you want back” the leader said menacingly as they held up your things. You look around but realise you were out of sight from both Sun and Moon. So they wouldn’t be able to see what was going on.

You stomped your foot. Trying to act brave when I reality you were very scared. You just wanted them to leave you alone. It wasn’t your fault you couldn’t talk.

“What, trying to act brave. Come on guys, I bet we can get them to make a noise if we push them off the top of the castle” a few of the kids listened to the leader as they grabbed your arms and hauled you up the spiral stairs to the top.

You struggled to get free but these kids were way stronger than you. Once at the top you could see both Sun and Moon but both are preoccupied with other children to really see you.

“Those stupid robots aren’t gonna help you so don’t even bother trying to flag them down. Now where were we. Ah Yes. These stupid things of yours are about the same as you” with that comment the kid held up both of your things and preceded to start ripping them up.

You struggled in the other children’s grasp as you try to stop the nasty kid from ripping to badly. Unfortunately though you weren’t able to get out and both your plushy of Sun and drawing were totally destroyed. You looks around and see that Moony had disappeared from his spot

“Now its your turn freak” they move you towards the edge of the platform getting ready to throw you off.

“Naughty naughty children, I sure hope you weren’t planning on throwing a friend of Mine off the platform here. That’s breaking Sundrops rules and that could get you banned from the daycare” Moony's sinister voice peaks up as he appeared at the top if the staircase.

“Like I care you overgrown tin can, their a freak. And freaks don’t belong here, quickly do it now.” Before you even knew what was happening you were being thrown over the edge. You see Moon attempting to grab you but he misses. Ot felt like time was slowing down

“SUNDROP CATCH THEM" Moon yells and you see Sunny racing over to try and catch you before you hit the ground.

Unfortunately he wasn’t fast enough to get you before you hit the floor of the ballpit. You gasp as pain entered your body and the wind was knocked out of your lungs. Sun was there seconds later pulling you into his arms.

“OH MY GOSH Sunshine, its ok, I’m here, I’m here, try and take a deep breath for me. I know it hurts but I’m here alright. I’m not going anywhere” tears fell down your face as you struggle to get air back into your lungs.

Moon stood in shock for a moment, the kids that had pushed you were as well and it didn’t take long for Moon to get really angry. You were hurt, Crying and gasping for breath in Sunny’s arms.

And that wasn’t something he couldn’t stand to see. He gripped the children by their shirts as he called down to Sun. Barely able to contain his anger.

“Sunny, take Yn to the Naptime tent and get an icepack for their back. I’ll be there in a few minutes” he finished with a snarl and he looks down at the terrified kids. Hah serves them right. He sees Sun rush off with you in his arms.

Moon then takes the misbehaving children to the door or the daycare, called their parents down and explained that they were banned from the Daycare and why. Most of the parents were furious with their kids.

Moon them goes back to the tower to see your hard worked on drawing  in pieces as well as your favourite plush Sun had given to you. The picture he could fix. The teddy he could not.

An idea worked its way into Moons head as he makes his was up to his and Suns shares room. He then grabs the golden present and takes out his golden Moon plush. If anyone deserved that plush it was you.

You had settled into Suns lap as he held an icepack to your back, the quiet noise of the nap tent soothing you. Your tears not long dried up as Sun comforted you. Moony then walked in Looking a bit angry but you knew that it wasn’t about you.

“Here Starlight, I couldn’t fix your Sunny toy, but I hope this helps” he reached into the box and pulls out a golden plush of him, your eyes light up in happiness as you nod back to him.

“Thank you Moony,  thank you Sunny for taking care of me" you sign back as t them

“Oh no need to thank us Sunshine, we’re just happy your alright,” you three spent the afternoon hanging out so you didn’t strain yourself. These two were definitely your favourite.
