It had been a very long day in the daycare today. The children were non stop, continuously running around, causing messes, starting fights. Even with you, Sun and Moon combined together it still made the day busy as anything.

You could already feel a migraine making this way into your skull. Clenching your eyes shut you rub your fingers against your forehead in an attempt to ease some of the pain.

“Starlight are you alright" as if on que Moon made his way to your side. You open your eyes to see his worried expression. 

“I’m alright Moony, just got a bit of a headache from all the noise and trouble the kids have given us that’s all, can’t wait for lunch and nap time to roll up so there’s finally some peace and quiet” you say tiredly.

Trying to stifle a yawn threatening to leave your mouth. Moon didn’t look convinced though. He could see the exhaustion and pain in your eyes, he made a silent promise to himself to get you to at least rest during nap time

“Are you Sure Starlight, you look exhausted” he pushed. Trying to at least get her to admit she was the littlest bit tired.

“I’m fine Moon, I promise. Now I think we should go back and help Sunny out. I think the kids are starting to tackle him to the ground.” You chuckle a little before making your way over.

“MOONY, YN HELP MEEE THE CHILDREN HAVE LOST THEIR MINDSSSS" As expected poor Sun was Buried under a pile of children.

“ALRIGHT, little Stars its time to start calming down now. Its almost time for lunch and Nap time and we all know that we need to be calm and relaxed by then. And you boys and Girls should know that jumping on Sunny is a very naughty thing to do. So follow me little stars to the mat and we’ll calm down with a nice book" Moon sternly said and the children are quick to follow the rules.

One by one the children get off Sun and make their way to the mat with Moon. You gently help Sun to his feet, checking his body for any damages the children might have causes.

“Thank you Sunshine, I assure you my body is not damaged in the slightest” Sun says politely.

“Thats a relief. I’m going to go set up the tables for lunch time, could you set up for nap time. Moon looks like he has everything under control with the children at the moment” you look over to Moon and your heart flutters.

His calm voice had soothed the children’s hyperactive minds as they sat still on the mat. You turn away and wince at the sharp pain in your head coming back. Damn migraine.

“Sunshine are you ok” Sun asks. You push the pain aside and smile back at him.

“Im fine Sun. Now let’s go get things set up.” You say before walking off. Sun however didn’t seem convinced and made his way over to his counterpart.


It didn’t take long for you to set up the tables and for the children to have lunch. The first bit of silence for the entire day. You look around and see that the boys were nowhere around. You check on the children once more before walking off to find them.

“Im telling you Moony she’s not well" Sun whispered.

“I know Sun I know, I’ve got it covered alright. We would never let anything happen to her you know that" Moon counters. Sun reluctantly sighs as his head bows. It was then you walked around the corner.

“What are you two boys doing over here. Gets your butts over here and help me with the kids” you call over and Sun was quick to turn back into his cheery self.

“Aye Aye Capitan.” Sun then happily skips to the lunch tables. Leaving you and Moon walking back together.

“and what were you two talking about" your question the night time bot.

“Nothing that concerns your pretty little head starlight” Moon replies.

“Oh keeping secrets are we now. Just hope they aren’t to important to keep from me forever” you smirk back at him.

“Never" Moon smirks back.


Finally lunchtime was over and naptime could finally begin. The migraine in your head was yet to stop. The painful ache now burning behind your eyes. Once all the children were settles the lights dimmed in the room as the three of you set down each next to children.

The darkness of the room helped you slightly with the pain as you yet again tried to stop a yawn. After a few minutes Moon came and sat beside you, holding two pills and a bottle of water.

“Something to take the pain away from that migraine you’ve been trying to hide Starlight” Moon whispered calmly as he handed you both items.

You swiftly took the pills and skulled almost half the water bottle before setting it down. Moon then pulled you into His chest using his leg to support your body as you leaned against him.

“Moon what a-" you begin before your interrupted

“Sleep starlight, your exhausted and in pain and this is the perfect time to rest, I promise to wake you up once naptime is over" Moon calmly says as his fingers comb through your hair. Your eyes begin to feel heavy as the exhaustion from the day finally takes over your body as your pulled into sleep.

Finally happy that you were resting Moon looks at Sun and smiles. Sun gives him a thumbs up before turning his attention back to the children around him.

Moon looks back at the peaceful expression your face makes, he was glad that it was no longer filled with pain from the migraine you were suffering from. He loved you with all his heart. The thought alone made him sigh in content as his eyes close. The room was then filled with the small sound of moving feet and sniffling.

“Moon” a small voice whimpered. Moon opens his eyes and looks over to see one of the children walking over, rubbing the tears from his eyes as his bottom lip quivered. “I can’t sleep" the child continued. Moon sighed

“Ok, just give me a second” Moon replies. Gently lifting your body off of his and laying your head under a pillow nearby so you were comfortable. He gently guides his hand over your head once more before walking over to the upset child and calmly taking them into his arms. Resting the child’s head against his chest as soft music plays from his chest cavity.

Unaware that you had awoken slightly to see the whole ordeal occur watching with awe in your eyes as Moon gently cradles the child as he lulls them to sleep with music. It wasn’t often you saw Moon like this. Being a big softie. But it would be a moment you would cherish
