Xie Lian swam around unaware of his surroundings as he hunted down a single fish. There other fish that he could've easily caught but this one in particular had wronged the prince. That fish had woken him in the late night and he's been chasing it till midday.
It wasn't until the merman heard a motor and saw a shadow move above him, that he stopped. He stopped dead in his tracks and took a minute to look around. What he saw scared the life out of him.
There were humans all around. Legs dangling and arms flailing. People were jumping into the water while some just stood there.
Xie Lian poked his above water and fear had set in. He was only two meters from the shore. And someone was running towards him. They had a blue board with the word lifeguard on the bottom of it. The prince just floated there. Frozen.~*HC*~ pov
——————People had come up to lifeguard tower saying a person had been under the water and that they weren't coming up. Immediately I ran to grab a board and I went for the water.
People moved away as I paddled out to the alleged person. I went to pull them up but they grabbed my forearm and dragged me under. I didn't know what was happening. However, I do know that I was now ways away from the beach.
We ended up on a small island not too far from the mainland. I wiped the water from around my eyes and tried to recognize my surroundings. Nothing was familiar accept for the crystal clear waters.
I was snapped back into reality when I heard splashes and small labored breaths.——————————————
